Jiwon pov
I was beyond shocked by her words. "Meaning you must be Han Hyewon's daughter." She was pacing around me "How do you know my mother? Is my great grandmother really a firstborn?" I asked trying to remember and comprehend everything I had been told. The day I awakened my powers, I was told my great great great great great grandmother was a firstborn but I didn't know I was this special. Ever since I stepped foot in this school I've been told I was special which gave me low-key pressure and it's my only my first day!
"Your mother was a powerful yet caring one. She was always outgoing and said when she graduated, she didn't want to stay and become a professor or help rule her land, she wanted to live a normal life. I remember when we were in class, I had accidentally spilt a sparkle potion on her, she kept shining the whole day, catching every boy's attention. That's how we became friends." Madam Lee chuckled. "Sorry for the unnecessary nostalgic flashbacks but may I ask what she's up to?" "Oh... umm...when I was 13, she died in a car accident." Her eyes widened in shock as she put her hand on her mouth. "Umm...we should probably start practicing." I said breaking the silence. She nodded then took me to a small training spot not far from the other moon fairies.
"One thing you must learn is that magic is all about control, intention, emotion and memory." She stated. "At first, none of the following happens when the awakening happens nor when you are properly skilled but you will eventually get the idea when you hear it at first and remember or just understand on your own somehow." Lee gazed at the targets then turned to me. "You don't need any guidance with lingual as that is basic but the mind powers are more advanced than you think." "How advanced?" I asked. "Mind manipulation is included along with memory restoration, empathy and having total control over one. Us moon fairies are called the weakest among the others but our intentions and emotions aren't. In fact, we're known as the masterminds of magic." She glanced at the targets once again. "We'll look deeper into the mind later but our main problem are the light beams." She pointed towards my cold hands. "You must listen very close to my instructions."
"At the start, you think you can only launch them when you lose control, but when you undergo training, you will be able to launch them at your command no matter what emotion or anything. The main thing with this is intention and control. Release all of your stress, focus and begin starting the spark." I closed my eyes as I listened to her orders. A small white dot appeared in the darkness and the next thing I knew, a burning sensation had covered my palms. I opened my eyes to see my hands glowing white. "Keep the spark up. From the light, I can tell you're excited or passionate about learning to control." "Wait so each emotion determines how bright my beams are?" I questioned. "Indeed."

"Now students, you will practice fighting against different fairies. Why do we do this? So we can learn our teammates strengths and weaknesses to help each other up. First we'll have Hayoung of the water fairies and Jinhyuk of the earth fairies." This was going to be easy. I had something other fairies didn't: multiple powers. Jinhyuk approached me before the match had begun. "Good luck, mermaid." He smirked then went to his part of the field. "Was that an insult or weak flirting?" I thought while chuckling.
He began tying me up in vines tightly making me unable to move my hands and unleash my magic. "We can see I've already won." He chuckled while securing me more. I smirked at his bold assumption. "It's not quite fair only you've used your powers." I began to melt into a puddle of water then gushed towards his shoes. I froze his feet in place then returned to my human form. Before he could move his arms I froze them in place. "You were saying?" I giggled at the sight of him struggling to move. "Oh my. It looks like we have a winner!" The teacher cheered. "You can unfreeze him now, dear." I unfroze him and laughed when he collapsed onto the ground. "How?" He questioned. "I'm special." I responded then walked away.
"I don't think we have enough time to have another so that's a wrap!" My friends surrounded me while embracing each other into a group hug. "That was awesome!" Jiheon exclaimed. "How did you do that?" Jiwon asked. "I'm your biggest fan now!" Chaeyoung joked. "Come on guys, we should go back to the dorm, I'll answer and accept your questions and praises.

We arrived at the dorm while laughing and engrossing into each other's conversations. "Hey guys, I have a question." Jiwon suddenly said. "Are fairies supposed to have one power within them?" Everyone went silent. "Yeah, but I've noticed how all of us have multiple powers." Hayoung responded. "Guys, do you know who we are?" I asked. They all shook their heads as an answer.
"We are fairy princesses of the eight kingdoms."
To be continued...
