Jisun pov
Welp, I had just done indirect legal murder by fucking up someone's mind. I heard Jiwon could do stuff like that...Anyway, when the jackass was dead, I had to process what happened. "D-did I really kill someone?" I thought it was me but then I thought again. I heard voices speaking to me while I was struggling to take a hold of myself. It was my body and the random spirit that had the audacity to possess me that killed that dickhead. "It's alright, everyone here is on a death sentence." Song wrote on her clipboard what I assume were my results for this 'experiment'. "Did I look sexy while I did that spell?" I asked Jiwon. "I'm not sure, but you were hella pretty." She answered, smirking.
"Alright, Jiwon. Pick your criminal. Remember it only works on fairies." Jiwon hesitantly walked towards the area where fairies were held. "Egassem" I whispered. I sent a message spell to Jiwon to help her choose another bastard to kill. "Choose the most disgusting, shameless and evil vibe guy." She looked carefully at all of them. Some felt sane, some felt evil. "Pretty lady. Would you like to try me?" A middle aged man spoke catching her attention. "How about we make a bet? I heard you're here to learn magic...if you and you're little abilities work on me, I'll give you every valuable thing of mine, if you lose, you have to spend a night with me here."

His words made me shiver in disgust. Were all the prisoners perverts or just some? "May I ask what kind of fairy you are?" I asked. "Hmm...why is that important?" "I want to know what I'm up against." The man scoffed. "Do you see this cage? My magic is useless." "Is it that hard to answer what kind of fairy you are?" I said in pity. "Fine, I'm a sky fairy. Now what are you, pretty woman?" Took him long enough. "Moon." He smirked at my answer. "Useless, my kind are more powerful than you." "Bold of you to say that. Enough chatter."
I began to recite the steps in my head. The scroll barely had any information for me to properly understand. I heavily sighed, giving up. "I think I need some more time..." I told Miss Song as she doodled on her clipboard. "Alright, time to join me." The hideous freak spoke. "You agreed." "When did I confirm?" He groaned and flopped on the floor. "Miss Park, you are expected to succeed learning how to unleash the ability by the end of the month." That's like a week and half! I sighed as we were leaving and heading back to the school.

My power was kinda lame compared to Jiheon and Saerom's. Like summoning random oil that triggers fire? How useless. I could just light one and we're good. "Alright girls, I hope you've read well enough to unleash even a pinch of your new ability." Mr Noh said. "Uh, sir? You're a fire fairy, do you have any knowledge about the oil summoning ability even if you don't have it?" Sir shook his head. "I never properly studied it back in my days here, but I know the basic structure. Have you memorised the script?" I shook my head, frustrated. I could barely remember the steps but had to connect with the oil through telepathy? Ugh, I wish I had the script with me.
"What kind of power is this? When will it be useful?" I questioned whining. "You'll never know, dear...you'll discover soon." He mysteriously spoke. I sighed hearing him then followed. The others seemed to have already unleashed theirs while I struggled to even memorise the first few steps... I never was a fast learner so it just felt more stressful especially for the fact that Cattiva's kingdom will return by the end of the month. Out of the rank of most powerful fairies, Moon fairies are the 'weakest' but truthfully, the fire fairies are weaker when it comes to intelligence. You would be considered an idiot if you didn't think intelligence was the core of magic, which proves you're weak of course.
"Is this lesson scroll-free?" I asked. "Unfortunately, yes." Mr Noh answered, leaving me sighing. "Now, do you remember anything from the scroll?" "Only like step one..." "That's good enough..." He did teach some basics and spoiled some answers for the steps but I kept struggling to succeed. Communicating with oil is just nonsense...why couldn't the lord give me something better?
Hayoung pov
I was unfortunately left alone...well not really, Ms Kang and Mr Han were with me, quietly observing like 10 meters behind me. We were at Jeju beach on the cliffside where it was less populated and hidden. "Miss Song?" Mr Han said through my earplug. "I hope you've studied enough to do the basics of this ability." They had to stay behind me just in case I lost control and ended up causing a tsunami. "Yes..." I replied, beginning the process. It was written to require a LOT of focus and memory. I was scared a bit that I could possibly kill people upon the beach or just upon this island in general if I failed or lost control.
I was required to speak an ancient language people learned from my ancestors. I guess the language grew forgotten cause the royal family of the Aquatics maybe were the only ones it worked on. As I began speaking the random ritual language, my body grew heavy along with my eyes grow blurry with emotionless tears. "Focus!" I whispered, trying my best to ignore the pain. I finished reciting the incantation and began tightening my brain with pictures of the ocean. "Princess..." I gasped hearing a voice. "Call my name, I will come to you..." I could feel myself rising from the ground and could sense something strange blossom on my back. "Karagatan...!" I screamed.
Even if my feet weren't touching the ground, I could feel the site shaking with the intensity growing rapidly every second. I gasped seeing a massive chunk of water coming directly towards me, eventually circulating around me elegantly. "Now, the water is under your control...you remind her who you are. She is yours, you aren't hers." I followed what the voice told me. My nails dug in my palm as I shot my fist to the sky, which led the water to circulate my wrist. I opened my fist, the water fell causing a shower upon the beach. My feet returned to the ground as I released the leftover magic consuming me. I collapsed onto the ground, my eyelids begging to close. "Hayoung!" I suspect that was Ms Kang. I felt two fingers press my forehead which caused my drowsiness to vanish within a second. "Miss Song, you've done well." Mr Han noted. "That was beyond my expectation..." Ms Kang said, her face showed pride but surprise as well. "You thought I wasn't gonna succeed??" I asked, a bit offended. "No, it's just...
your wings showed themselves..."
