chapter 31

"Nickolas!" Vittoria screamed as she climaxed, her head hitting the pillow, as she lay naked on the bed.

Nickolas was wild and relentless last night, and this morning she had woken up with his head in between her legs, eating her.

"Good morning, love." He grunted, his stubble brushing against her thighs. He stood up, his naked frame coming into her view.

Vittoria shuddered when she saw his manhood, upright and angry.

He picked her up with ease, and sat down, making her sit on his lap, guiding his cock at her entrance, he drove in, squeezing her breasts.

Vittoria moaned, matching his pace. His mouth found her breast, and he teased a nipple with his expert tongue.

Vittoria threw him back on the bed, taking charge, she fucked him, her hands on his chest, as they both heaved. "fuck baby." He grunted, as her tits bounced, and Vittoria arched her back.

Nickolas growled as he came inside of her, holding her by the waist. Vittoria came right after him, again.

She laid right beside him.

Nickolas's phone rang on the bedside table. He reached for it, she thought he would pick it up, but instead he cut it, and then he turned around, leaned back down and kissed her hard.

But then his phone rang again, she broke the kiss, "pick it up." She insisted.

"I don't want to." He spoke reaching for her again, but then she got up, smiling, "You should, I'll head to the bathroom meanwhile."

He scowled but did as he was told. "Armani."

He headed outside the bedroom, listening to whatever the person on the other end was telling him.

"Alright, I'll get on it."

Vittoria's POV

When I stepped out of the bathroom, I found a robe inside one of the bathroom shelves, tying it around myself,  and got a towel for my damp hair. The sun shone brightly, the sound of crashing waves made an illusion of calmness around this house, but I was anything but calm. I stared at the rumpled bed, a pang of guilt tying me down. I opened my phone, and sure enough the text I had been waiting for was there. It was Arnold.

We need to talk.

I sighed, the wall of pretence falling apart.

I had barely forgiven Nickolas.

But fighting with him was rarely giving me anything I wanted, he refused to tell I anything, so I was simply better off acting as though I was fine with it all, ready to look forward. There were things a person should deliberately never show to anyone, your armour being one of them, and if you were a woman, even more so. I truly loved Nickolas, but I couldn't trust him now, there are  times to wish for the best, and then there are times you should expect the worst, and now it was the latter.

But two could play a game.

I texted Arnold back, asking him to meet me at a place where we frequented often, in earlier times.

I was going to find out what Nickolas so desperately wanted to hide from me. By hook or by crook.

3rd Person's POV-

1 day later

"You know it's a shame we didn't go back to Greece again." Ada spoke as she sat cuddled up on the couch of Gianni's apartment.

"I concur." Vittoria said with a nostalgic smile. "Ladies, then let's get packing, I have a flight that leaving in 2 hours." Gianni said as she showed them the website of an airline.

"Wish we could kinda reckless, but we got jobs now, Gianni." Ada said.

"But still! the last time we went was so fun! Ari had surprised Vittoria." Gianni said.

Vittoria cringed a bit, "Yeah that part was not that fun."

"But to his credit, he only came for the last day of the trip." Ada spoke.

"Ada it was a Girl's trip, the one we had been planning for such a long time." Vittoria emphasised.

"That's true, although, if it wasn't for him, we would've never gotten to go on that fucking lit Yacht party." Gianni sighed dreamily, "the booze there was goddamn heavenly."

Ada chuckled. "Fuck man, now I really want to go!" Vittoria said, her phone pinged as she said so.

It was Arnold.

"So we should go!" Gianni insisted, waving her hands in the air.

"Yeah we should go in August," Vittoria said absentmindedly, "but I gotta go now."

"What your husband dearest is missing you?" Gianni teased.

"No, I need to pick some files from office." Vittoria said.

"It's a Sunday Vittoria!" Ada said incredulously. "It's important guys, sorry." Vittoria smiled at them apologetically

"I have got my eyes on you, lady." Gianni said with narrowed eyes.

"I'm not surprised." Vittoria remarked as she walked out waving goodbye to the girls.

She'd become a liar too. great, she thought grimly.

Hello everyone!

Vittoria clearly has more tricks up her sleeves than we initially thought, so Nickolas isn't the only one with secrets now and honestly, who can we really trust?

I had after all, mentioned this was a dark romance, hadn't I?
