Continuing from the previous chapter!

In the midst of the intricate preparations for the engagement, Sumati devoted herself to ensuring that every detail was in place for Bondita's engagement . However, amidst the flurry of activity, Bondita found herself in a state of quiet reflection. As she sat there, adorned in the ceremonial attire, a profound sense of solitude enveloped her. Silently, she began to grapple with the profound questions that lingered in the recesses of her mind.

Bondita's gaze was fixed on the mirror, her eyes reflecting a mix of emotions. There, amidst the elaborate trappings of the impending celebration, a veil of sadness shadowed her features. It was as if the very fabric of her destiny had woven a complex tapestry of challenges, leaving her questioning the cosmic design that dictated her path.

In the stillness of that moment, Bondita's inner turmoil echoed in the recesses of her soul. The weight of her contemplation bore down on her, and the silence around her seemed to amplify the unspoken struggles within. As the hands of the clock ticked away, she couldn't help but wonder why, despite her earnest efforts, adversity continued to be a steadfast companion in her journey. The air was thick with the unspoken narrative of a young woman grappling with the twists and turns that life had unfurled before her, each chapter leaving its indelible mark on the pages of her evolving story.

Anirudh's anxious footsteps echoed through the corridors as he meticulously scoured every inch of the house, driven by an insatiable need to find Bondita. The weight of unresolved doubts bore down on his chest, a heavy burden fueled by the certainty that Bondita would vehemently oppose the union with Chandrachur. His emotions surged like a tempest within, a maelstrom of longing and determination.

The yearning to face Bondita, to extract from her lips the undeniable truth he suspected, consumed him. The intensity of his feelings compelled him to release a torrent of confessions, an outpouring of love that begged to be heard. Anirudh envisioned himself screaming his devotion, passionately declaring his emotions, and fervently seeking forgiveness with heartfelt apologies.

As he imagined this emotional release, the inability to locate Bondita became increasingly frustrating. The house, once a familiar sanctuary, now felt like an expansive maze of emptiness, amplifying his sense of loss. Anirudh, torn between his desire to connect and the stark reality of her absence, yearned for a moment to lay bare his soul and bridge the emotional chasm that separated them.

Unable to find Bondita, he stepped outside in search of her.

Time rapidly advanced, and the clock approached 7:30 in the evening. A handful of guests lingered within the adorned walls of the Roy Chowdhury mansion. The entire estate had been meticulously decorated, creating a captivating ambiance for the attendees.

Sumati escorted Bondita into the grandeur of the Roy mansion, leading her to the room generously provided by Kaka for her stay until the marriage festivities unfolded. Seating Bondita in front of the ornate mirror, Sumati affectionately remarked, "Bhut sundar lag rehe hai meri bachi. Ab aise hi baithi rahe, jab sagai ka muhurt shuru hoga, to main tujhe bula lungi." Bondita nodded, her countenance devoid of any discernible emotions. Sumati gracefully exited the room, leaving Bondita to contemplate the imminent ceremony.

Anirudh entered the mansion, his eyes absorbing the sight of guests mingling and the meticulously arranged decorations. His heart quickened its pace as unsettling thoughts flooded his mind - the prospect of Bondita agreeing to the marriage. Nervously, he proceeded further into the mansion, only to be intercepted by Kaka standing before him, prompting a moment of anticipation and uncertainty in Anirudh's racing thoughts.
