Hongjong || Seonghwa
It's been a month already and I know, I know recovering and healing from all his trauma and his attempt must take long.
But I want to see him, we all did.
Sure, we did go on with our lives, I mean we had to because.. well that's what Seonghwa wanted from us.
It was the last thing he wished for us after thinking he wouldn't make it.
It pains us to go out and have fun, eat outside, sometimes maybe even visit the Han bridge. It hurt us a lot to act as though nothing had happened.
Because with every new memory that we made, Seonghwa would be missing a lot more.
We wanted to wait until he felt alright, until well he could go out with us and make new memories with us.
We didn't want his first memories, his first month after recovery to be in a hospital room but honestly, there wasn't much for us to do.
We had to be patient. Just a little more until Seonghwa is ready to have us again.
We waited, and waited but nothing came.
Not a single call, not even an update. We had tried to contact them after a while before it was safe to safe they weren't planning to answer.
A month turned into two and eventually, it was three months in and I couldn't take it anymore.
On one sunny day, I had asked Mingi to accompany me to the police station. He was the best at getting people to talk.
We took the car, drove over to the same station, which was really not one around our neighborhood. It was around a hour away, and it wasn't really known around.
But still, it was a police station right? It was the closest one to us.
An hour in, and we could finally spot the big sign that read "Myeongdong station ahead".
I took a deep breath, seeing this sign meant within miles, the station would appear.
But nothing did.
I drove and drove and even my GPS had told me I reached my destination. But as I parked in front of the so-called destination, my eyes could spot nothing but a pure empty field.
There ware relics almost everywhere and if anyone didn't know better, they'd think these were police station's ruins.
And that was my case, I knew nothing about the station or the entire place to be frank.
From what I can see, It was demolished.
Every bit of that building was destroyed. Even the ruins, they were so small, so scattered, you could barely even make out the building.
I won't lie, I felt panic rise in me.
The building couldn't have fell with everyone in right? No, there is no way. They must've all left somewhere else after deciding to demolish the building or something.
But if it was the case, why didn't that chief contact us? He promised to let us know if anything changed in the plans.
He said he'd update us about anything related to Hwa.
After parking the car, I left with Mingi and made my subconsciously over to the building. I need to be sure this was the police station.
I went through the relic and the hard rocks, searching for anything that could help me verify the nature of this building.
