Hongjoong || Seonghwa

As I lay in bed, my phone rang, and I saw Seonghwa's name on the screen. It struck me as odd; I thought he was in his room, and it was late.

I answered the call, getting out of bed and heading towards his room. "Idiot, if you missed me, you could've just—" I stopped short when I opened his door and found his room empty.

Panic surged through me, and I gripped my phone tighter. "Hello? Seonghwa, is everything okay?"

A voice that wasn't Seonghwa's responded, "Hello, this is Han. I work at the xxx bar in seoul where Seonghwa's been drinking. He's passed out here, and I need someone to come get him. I tried calling someone else before you, but they were just rude."

My heart sank. "I'll be there right away. Thank you for letting me know." I hung up and stormed down the hall, my mind racing.

Something was definitely wrong, and I had a strong suspicion about who might be involved.

I reached Wooyoung's door and threw it open without knocking. "What the hell did you tell Seonghwa to have him leave like this, Wooyoung!?" I shouted, my voice echoing through the dorm.

Wooyoung looked up from his bed, startled. "What are you talking about, Hongjoong?"

"Don't play dumb with me," I snapped, stepping into his room. "Some fuckin' bartender just called. He said he is with Seonghwa in seoul and apparently Seonghwa's passed out at that bar. He said he tried calling someone else before me, and they were rude. I know it was you. What did you say to him?"

Wooyoung's expression twisted into one of offense. "Oh, so now it's my fault? Seonghwa came to my room, Hongjoong. He started raging at me, cursing me out, saying all of us were just placeholders to him."

I glared at him, disbelief coursing through me. "That's bullshit, Wooyoung. Seonghwa would never say that. What are you trying to pull here?"

Wooyoung stood up from his bed, anger flaring in his eyes. "You think I'm lying? He was drunk, Hongjoong! He said some messed-up things. Don't act like you know everything!"

The commotion was starting to wake the others. I could hear the shuffling of feet and the murmurs of confusion from the hallway. But I was too angry to care. "I know Seonghwa. I know he'd never say something like that, even drunk. You're just trying to cover up what you did."

Wooyoung's face reddened with fury. He lunged forward, grabbing my collar and yanking me close. "Shut the fuck up, Hongjoong! Stop accusing me with no proof! You weren't there, you don't know what happened!"

His grip was tight, and I could feel the tension in his hands. "Let go of me, Wooyoung," I said through gritted teeth, trying to stay calm even as my own anger surged. "This isn't helping anyone."

His grip was tight, and I could feel the tension in his hands. "Let go of me, Wooyoung," I said through gritted teeth, trying to stay calm even as my own anger surged. "This isn't helping anyone."

Wooyoung's eyes narrowed, a cruel smirk forming on his lips. "You know what your problem is, Hongjoong? You're weak. You're so blinded by your love for Seonghwa that you can't see the truth. Maybe he really is the evil one here. Maybe he deserves everything that's happening."

My anger flared, and I shoved him back with all my strength. "Don't you dare talk about Seonghwa like that! You don't know anything about what he's been through. You're just trying to shift the blame because you can't handle your own guilt."

Wooyoung staggered but quickly regained his footing, his face twisted with rage. "Guilt? You think I'm guilty? You're the one who's guilty, Hongjoong. Guilty of being a blind, lovesick idiot who can't see what's right in front of him!"
