The room was eerily silent as my friends and Professor Snape took in the damage that was done to my face. My lips are still parted from the initial shock from when they broke my door in. One hand holds my hand held mirror, while the other grips a gauze pad.
My eye is torn away from the angry and concerned glances that are shared between both Blaise, and Professor Snape, to the soft and kind gaze that Draco holds.
My head lolls to the side when I feel Draco's hand caress my face, the warmth brings me so much comfort, despite the pain that's slowly creeping back into my eye and the surrounding area. The hand held drops to the floor beside me with a small thump as I relax further into my blonde friend's loving touch.
My eye closes momentarily as his large hand holds my face. When he finally pulls away, is when I open my eye up again. I watch in silence as Draco gently pries the gauze pad from my hand and takes over in bandaging me up.
During this, Blaise slips in behind me. His legs on either side of me while his hands massage circles on my biceps. A sweet gesture to keep me distracted, picking up on my discomfort and pain levels, this would be traumatic to anybody. From the corner of my eye, I take in the look of Professor Snape. Mixtures of rightful anger, concern, and frustration flash across his eyes. He hasn't moved, or said a thing since they arrived, nobody has for that matter.
I feel like he's in shock just as much as I am.
Time passes in a blur to me, the smell of the gauze begins to irritate my nose, especially after the faint yet lingering smell of my now dried blood. Rags, toilet paper, and gauze have turned brown after drying, the sheer amount of how much blood came from these wounds astounded even me. Not to mention, all the blood that poured onto my books and parchment as I made my way here after the attack.
Once Draco finished patching me up, he ran a hand through my hair, pushing back the pieces that kept falling in my face. He gives me a small, reassuring smile as he takes my hands in his. Helping me off the floor. From behind, Blaise holds me steady as he follows us in pursuit.
I hear Professor Snape's heavy footsteps as he follows the three of us out of my bathroom. The boys lower me onto my bed before going to my closet. Draco pulls out a plain T-shirt and my favorite brown and green sweatshirt. Blaise throws a pair of jeans over his arm before approaching me. I take the clean, and blood free clothes from them, and wait until the trio have stepped outside my dorm, giving me privacy to change."I'm decent", I reply evenly, no more than two minutes later.
The door to my dorm opens, and the three step back in. Blaise drops himself in the chair by my work desk, while Draco stands beside him. Professor Snape on the other hand, takes almost a guarded, and defensive stance in front of the door."Do you know the student who did this?"
Asks my potions professor. I can hear through his calm demeanor how angry he really is. I give him props for containing it so well.I shake my head.
"No, I didn't see their face. They planned it, and planned it well they did." I answer honestly.
Professor Snape nods, taking in the rather gruesome details of what happened. The piece of parchment that he holds, is wrinkled. The constant gripping of his hand has made whatever is on that paper, unreadable.
"Leave it to me." Says my Professor.
He turns on his heel and exits the room, leaving nothing but the echoing of his steps in his wake.Draco and Blaise haven't left my side since, they stayed in my dorm with me up until dinner, working on homework and chatting.
We walked down the corridors and into the Great Hall, ignoring the very obvious and curious glances people have been shooting in our direction since we left the basement level.Inside, we sit at our usual spot at the Slytherin table, a handful of our house mates coming over to check on me. Word got around of the attack it seems. Likely so, I'm sure the drops of blood that I left from the empty classroom to my common room grabbed people's attention. Not counting the fact I missed a class, which never happens, and how the teachers are whispering silently among each other while also being on high guard.
It's rather easy to piece together the more I think about it. Including the new bandages to my eye, while my day to day patch is missing, as I didn't get around to repairing it yet either. After the chaotic afternoon, I never realized how hungry I was. I ended up eating two plates worth of food, when I barely manage to eat one.
Professor Snape, Professor McGonagall, Professor Flitwick, Professor Sprout, and the Headmaster never showed for dinner, leaving Madam Pince,
Professor Trelawney, and Hagrid in charge of everyone. Luckily, the students knew something was amiss, so nobody dared to act out.As soon as dinner finished, the three of left, making our way back to our common room. Halfway there, we were stopped.
"A word with you three, please."
Spoke Professor McGonagall from behind us. Instructing that we follow her upstairs to the Headmasters office.Time to retell the events, yet again.
Oh how I'm growing tired of this...
