Ch 17

Once we arrive back in South Korea it's early in the morning and we quickly go to grab our luggage before heading outside to get a cab Eric wearing a cap and mask to hide his features so he won't be recognized. Once we get a cab and get in I hold a sleeping Harry in my lap looking curious when Eric gives an unfamiliar address to the driver. I look out the window as we head to our destination we stopping in front of an apartment with an older woman standing in front of it I looking curious as we get out Eric paying the driver before he leads me over to the woman who smiles at us. "Hello. Here's your keys mr Sohn welcome to your new home." Eric thanks her and she gives us another smile before leaving then Eric leads me to the front door of the apartment and opens the door before leading me inside I looking around wide eyed at the simple but nice apartment it having a few pieces of furniture like a couch and a chair but not much else. "We'll have to decorate and get stuff for little mans room but at least we have a place to call our own." I look at him and smile kissing his cheek lovingly. "It's really nice and I love it." He grins and I ask softly. "Is there a place I can set little man down at for him to sleep?" He nods and motions me to follow him I doing so as he leads me to a guest room I gently setting Harry down on the bed kissing his forehead and tucking him in then leave the room with Eric I sighing as I close the door. Suddenly my phone starts ringing I blinking and quickly pull it out answering it. "Hello?" I immediately hear my sister's voice sounding a little angry. "Alright I need to know where you are. I'm extremely worried Sander." I sigh and say softly. "I'll meet you for lunch and explain everything." She agrees and we make plans to meet at a diner I hanging up and look at Eric. "Can you handle little man?" He nods reassuringly. "Go ahead and go we'll be fine." I nod kissing his cheek then leave the apartment and head for the diner Kira told me to meet her at. Once I arrive I head to the back where Kira's waiting and sit down across from her. She looks at me her gaze going over every inch of me only for her to pause at the wedding band on my finger she looking at me in slight disbelief. "Please tell me that's not what I think it is." I shrug before saying honestly. "Eric and I got married. We went to America to see his family and get married and we're adopting Harry." She stares at me before saying aggressively. "I thought we agreed you wouldn't do that because of you being so young and your career?" I give her a slight look. "You don't understand Kira. I love them. Both of them. And Eric and I both agreed we didn't want to have Harry taken away from us." She shakes her head a little. "I can't believe you're giving up your dream job and intern opportunity." I give her a slight look. "You're the one who told me to socialize more and find someone i liked romantically. Well I did and I found a sweet little boy I care about also." She frowns at me her ears flat against her head. "You might not even get to adopt Harry because of you two living apart and everything." I give her a slight look. "We have an apartment to live in. We just need to move our things in and buy things for little man's room." Kira stares at me before grumbling. "I don't like this. I wish you'd stick with school and everything instead of focusing on marriage and kids." I scoff and get up. "You can't have it both ways Kira. Either want me to get a life and be happy or focus on school and work. Now I gotta get back to my family." I turn and leave the diner without ordering before heading back to the apartment where I walk through the unlocked door feeling a little frustrated. I see Eric sitting on the couch messing around on his phone and I make my way over plopping down beside him with a little sigh. He put his phone down before looking at me in slight concern. "Are you okay?" I grumble a little running a hand through my hair. "Kira doesn't approve of us being married and adopting Harry. She said she'd rather me focus on my schooling and career but I'd rather be with you and Harry than be locked up in a hospital with practically no meal breaks and on my feet constantly." He gently wraps an arm around me I laying my head on his shoulder before saying softly. "You head back to practice soon right?" He hums before answering. "Yeah tomorrow actually." I peek up at him a little. "Can I come and bring little man? So we can tell them the news?" He smiles and nods reassuringly. "Of course." I smile back at him then rub my eyes tiredly I seeing Eric's expression soften and he scoops me up bridal style making me squeak a little as he carries me to a bedroom it painted grey and white with a nice fluffy bed in the middle. Eric lays me down on the bed I sighing then pat the spot beside me pouting. "Lay down with me." He smiles and carefully climbs into bed with me I snuggling close and slowly fall asleep happily.
