We're currently in the park I sitting on a bench while I watch as Eric is teaching Harry how to play baseball. I watch them both smiling softly at Harry's excitement and how Eric's just as happy and excited. Eric is gently showing Harry how to use the bat and how to swing before he moves and gently pitches to Harry he immediately hitting the ball it going pretty far. Eric looks shocked and a little proud. "Great job little man. You wanna try again?" Harry nods eagerly looking excited. "Yeah! Again appa!" He grins and pitches a few more times to him Harry hitting the ball perfectly each time. I clap and cheer the little boy on when suddenly an older man approaches looking impressed. "He sure is a natural." Looking at the man curiously I can't help but to agree. "Yeah seems so." The man then turns to me with a smile. "Hi I'm coach Lee. I coach a small children's baseball team and I'd be happy if that young man ended up joining." I blink in surprise before saying cautiously. "Harry has some speech issues. He still struggles with words sometimes. And he's pretty shy." The man gives me a kind reassuring smile. "I can work with that don't worry." I hesitate before calling over to Eric and Harry. "Hey you two can you come over here?" They look at each other curiously but walk over I giving them a little smile. "Guys this is coach Lee. He coaches a children's baseball team and wants Harry to join." Eric looks surprised while Harry looks a little nervous and curious. "W.... Will the others l... like me?" The coaches expression softens. "Everyone is really nice I promise. I don't allow bullies on my team." Harry seems to relax at that before looking at me and Eric pleadingly. "Can I please join?" We smile softly and nod. "Of course sweetie." He immediately cheers happily and coach Lee chuckles. "Practice starts Monday afternoon around three thirty. Does he have school?" I shake my head no. "No he's not in school yet. He's just now gotten to speak full sentences." The coach nods in understanding. "Alright then I'll see you on Monday." He wishes us goodbye after telling us where to go and pats Harry's head before he leaves and I look at Eric with a smile. "I guess we're going shopping for baseball supplies." Him and Harry grin happily as I get up we heading to a store to buy equipment then head home since it's late.
*Monday afternoon*
We're heading to where coach Lee told us to meet him I seeing a few other kids from five to eight years old. Eric who managed to get out of practice is carrying a bag we packed incase Harry needs something like a snack and sunscreen so he won't get burned from the sun. Coach Lee walks up to us with bright smiles. "Hello. You guys are free to go sit with the other parents while I start explaining everything to little Harry here." We nod and head over to the benches taking a seat as we watch Harry being introduced to the other kids he seeming shy but excited. We then watch as the other kids help Harry get used to the game and everyone on the team he seeming to get close to a slightly older boy around six or seven who's tall for his age. I watch curiously as the boy seems to get Harry to open up more than usual a little smile crossing my face as I get Eric's attention nodding towards the two boys. "Seems like little man made a friend." Eric smiles softly and we watch as the boy helps Harry with his baseball mitt and they start throwing the ball to each other. By the time practice is over it's a little late and Harry runs over to us looking tired and reaches for me I smiling softly and pick him up holding him on my hip. "Let's go home." We then head home where we eat dinner and I give Harry a bath then put him to bed before we head to bed ourselves.
