After last night, I went home and immediately called Kate.
She freaked out to say the least.

Now, I was extremely nervous to go to school. I mean, what was going to happen? He never asked me out or anything. And we didn't kiss again.

I met up with Kate at my locker.

"So, where's your boyfriend?" Kate asked me as I grabbed my textbooks.

"No idea," I said, but I was smiling.

At lunch, I scanned the cafeteria for Dylan. When I didn't see him in the cafeteria, I got a bad feeling.

Something was wrong. I could feel it. I would've seen him once by now.

"I'm going to the bathroom," I said, leaving my friends.

Kate shot me a concerned look.

I walked out of the cafeteria and scanned the hallways. Then I turned the hallway past the library and saw him.

He was standing in the hallway. I could hear that he was talking to someone else as I got closer. I peeped through the next corner, trying my best to hide.

"And I'm sorry for how I treated you. I should have never acted like that," he said to Lauren.

Literally what the fuck was going on here?

"Don't even worry about it," she said, "I'm over it. Let's just move on,"

"Deal," he said, smiling.

And then they kissed. THEY FUCKING KISSED!
My chest burned. This hurt way worse after knowing what his lips felt like on mine.

I turned around and left. My chest ached. What a piece of shit! I mean honestly. I wanted to cry, but I didn't. Then the bell rung. Shit.

Art went by way faster than I wanted it to be. I was considering skipping Chemistry. I didn't look at him, he didn't look at me. We didn't talk once in class. It was brutally awkward.

This was not how I thought today was going to go at all. I was so confused.

There was no way he'd just leave me like that, right?

I texted Kate:
You are not gonna believe this shit. I don't even know what is going on rn. I'm gonna talk to him after class

As much as I hated it, I wanted answers. So I was going to get them.

So, after class. I grabbed Dylan by the sleeve and dragged him into an empty hallway.

"Okay, so what's going on?" I asked, "Because last I remember, we were making out and now you're making out with your ex again,"

"Look," he said, "Last night was a mistake. I'm sorry if you misinterpreted things, but I'm not like that. That shouldn't have happened,"

Huh?

If I was confused before, I was definitely confused now.

"Okay," I said. I couldn't help but laugh. I mean what was going on? "I'm leaving,"

"Wait," he said, "I wanna still be friends,"

"And I don't," I said, "Fuck off Dylan,"

I started quickly walking to the doors.
I didn't care that I was mean. I hope I hurt his feelings like he had hurt mine.

I ran outside as fast as I could.

"Oliver!" Lilly yelled out from behind me.

I didn't stop until I got into the car. Once, I got in I started balling.

"Oliver," Lilly repeated, now softly. She put her hand on my back.

She drove us home in silence.

I got into bed as soon as I got home.
I didn't feel like doing anything. My mom came into my room.

"What's going on Oliver?" She asked in a concerned voice.

I told her the whole thing.

"Oh no, sweetie," she said, petting my cheek with her hand, "I'm sorry,"

I shrugged. She hugged me.

"How about taking the day off school tomorrow?" She asked me. I looked up at her.

"Really?" I asked surprised.

"Yeah. Stay at home. Watch a movie," she added.

I hugged her.
"I love you," I said.

"And I love you Ollie," she replied.
