DYLAN POV
I found myself looking over at Oliver's table more often. Him and Kate were laughing, which is why I questioned if they were together or not, but Oliver had cleared that up.
"What're you doing after school today? Practice got cancelled," Alex said.
We were eating some pizza from the cafeteria. Everyone else was in their own conversations.
"Tutoring," I replied.
"Oh okay," he said, continuing to eat.
After we ran into Oliver at the movies, I explained the situation to Alex. All he said was, "You're lucky. He's smart as hell,"
There was no official plan, but I'd just assumed we were going to. I didn't want to make other plans just in case.
He was actually really helping me, plus I enjoyed hanging out with him. He was refreshing to be around. Alex was amazing, but our other friends weren't very fun to talk to.
I looked over at Lilly, who was sitting at the far end of our table. I couldn't believe her and Oliver were twins, they couldn't look more different. Truth was, Lilly was pretty, but not my type.
I'd hooked up with girls here and there, but I'd never been in a serious relationship. No girl had ever interested me enough.
"Can we do some tutoring in the library today?" I asked Oliver in Chemistry.
"Yeah," he replied with a smile.
I watched as he jotted down on his paper. He had perfectly coiled brown hair. He was shorter than I was, but not too short. His thick, dark eyebrows furrowed as he looked down at his scribbles on his paper.
My thoughts were interrupted by Oliver saying, "What? Is there a bug in my hair or something?" He laughed.
"Just zoning out," I replied.
After class, we walked over to the library together, where we went over some Chemistry bullshit.
"How do you find this stuff interesting?" I asked.
He laughed. "I just do,"
"What do you want to be when you're older?" I asked curiously.
"Probably a doctor," he replied, "A pediatrician,"
I don't know why I was surprised at his answer. He was so smart, it made sense.
"That's so cool!" I said.
"What about you?"
"I'm not really sure to be honest," I replied.
I was kind of confused on what I wanted to do. A part of me loved music, but the other part knew my dad loved the Dylan who played sports.
"That's okay," he said, smiling, "I'm sure you'll figure it out on your own time,"
This is what I liked about him, he was so different than my other friends. It was nice to have a new friend.

I went home. My dad was at his desk typing on his computer.
I had an older brother, but he was away at college. My mom was home too, but sometimes it was better when she wasn't around. She was a drunk, and my dad didn't care enough to help her.
I walked into my room, immediately plopping myself on my bed. I scrolled through Instagram, and I searched up Oliver's name. I scrolled through his Instagram, where pictures of his friends showed up, some of his cat, and one of him smiling in front of a tree.
I hovered over the follow button before I decided to click it. I clicked then, then immediately turned off my phone and threw it across the bed.
What was I doing? I'd never been nervous to follow a friend before.
