MARCH SEVENTEENTH

ιяιѕ ∂σмιηιqυє ℓσνє. When she walked into the house, heads followed in sync as the room grew quiet almost immediately upon arrival. The gold jewelry that laced her exposed shimmering skin around her slim torso, neck, wrists and the few that hung from her denim jeans were the loudest things in the room besides her Saint Laurent heels as she strut by every one of the men so effortlessly. Her captivating fragrance brushed against all the noses of the ones who were closest to her as she kept her eyes forward with her head held high, making her way to the back of the house. She held her light pink pistol in her left hand before shifting it over to her right as she prepared herself to potentially use it.

Because the room was now silent, she could hear what she had suspected the entire time coming from her fiancé's office. A woman's moaning, skin to skin clapping and her fiancé's deep grunting. As much as the men wanted to warn their boss that his fiancée was coming armed, it was too late to do anything about what she was going to do.

With a powerful swing of her free hand, she slammed the door open, the doorknob crashing into the drywall and jamming the door in place. The two naked bodies sprang from the desk, which had been hastily cleared for their tryst. The woman let out a scream of humiliation, scrambling to gather her clothes from the floor, desperately trying to cover herself amidst the sudden chaos.

"Iris, what you doing here?" He asked, covering his exposed self with his two hands. His eyes connected to the pistol in her hand causing them to widened in fear and a heat rush of adrenaline to flush throughout his body, instantly making him to break into a sweat seeing that his life was in hands of Iris's emotions. "Look ... baby"

Walking towards him, Iris looked over at the unknown woman that she knew had been sleeping with him on several occasions. She shook her head before stopping in front of him and turning her head to now look at him. "Hmph, that's what I was sharing my man with? It doesn't take much for you to drop your drawls I see" Her eyes roamed his face seeing how much she didn't care for the man she used to love so dearly. She lifted her hand to move his dread out of the view of his face and tucked it behind his ear. "I knew I wasn't the only one to you, Key" Her voice was so soft and so calm, in a way that seemed so deceiving to what her enraged, murderous intentions were.

"I love you Iris"

A wry smile tugged at the corner of her lips as she dismissed his three words as a joke. "This is what you call love?" she asked, her voice dripping with sarcasm. The tips of her long fingernails traced a line under his chin before her hand fell back to her side. "I wish I loved you enough for this to hurt me like it should... like it used to. But it doesn't. And I wish I loved you enough to spare you the pain of making me look like a fool, but I don't."
