— AUGUST SIXTEENTH 1 P.M. ᐟ
After making sure Ajani was okay at the hospital and leaving knowing he was in a better condition than he was when he entered, Iris got settled back into her home. Since it was her off day, she spent a portion of the day to clean up her home. It took a good amount of time considering how large her home was, but once she was finished she was satisfied with her results. Her home wasn't dirty, but it did need a deeper cleaning than just fluffing pillows and folding laundry.
She took a deep breath as she put her hands on her hips, relieved that the deep cleaning was finally over. She took a moment to admire the beauty of the home she worked so hard for, considering the house was fairly new but previously owned for a short period of time. Although the interior design wasn't her idea, by adding her own furniture and decor, she made it into her own.
Hearing the muffled sound of Sexyy Red's music coming from outside, Iris peeped out of her living room window seeing that Alexis had arrived, pulling up into her driveway. The two hadn't talked since the night the club got shot up by Emery, because Iris would ignore every call and text from Alexis. She wasn't fond of what happened, knowing that Alexis was well aware of what she was doing and made the conscious decision to cause what led to Iris being badly shamed by Emery. But today, Iris decided to at least let her come by to hash things out.
Iris opened the door and stepped away, allowing Alexis to welcome herself in before Alexis closed the door behind her after entering. As she walked in, she grew nervous, nervous about what Iris would be feeling and what she could potentially say. She didn't want to lose her best friend, but she wasn't sure if she already made that bed for herself or not due to hearing nothing back from Iris since it happened.
"Hey Iris" Alexis walked up to her, her arms expended to hug Iris.
"Hey Lex" Giving her a small smile, Iris wrapped her arms loosely around Alexis as the two hugged.
"I really missed you" Alexis sighed, pulling away from the hug before they both sat down on the couch to further talk with the conversation. "You've been ignoring me and you have every reason to. I'm so sorry for what happened—"
"You knew what would happen though, so why did you do it?" Iris questioned. "I could see if I was in real danger, but you saw me and him were okay. Selfishly, you called Emery because you didn't like me with him"
Alexis shook her head. "I was worried. It's Syncere we talking about, the same nigga that put you to the hospital. Y'all wanted to kill each other, do you realize how serious that is? It's death, an end to your life that can't be undone ... he could have done anything to you. He could have acted like he was being cool with you just to lure you in. Again, it's Syncere we talking about ... and somehow all that seemed to go out of the window the moment he decides to smile at you. I'm glad that wasn't your case, but sometimes that's what happens to people Iris"
