JULY THIRD
3 P.M. ྀ࿐ ˊˎ-

Jasiah reloaded his pistol full of bullets, placing them
in one by one until they reached the brim of the magazine. It was always best to stay ready so you wouldn't have to get ready. He didn't know whether he would be dumping the clip in Key's body or in Iris's today, maybe in neither, maybe in both ... but it was always a fun time if push came to shove.

Once the clip was fully loaded, he used the palm of his hand to snap it back into the handle of the gun. Beside him stood Honesty, watching him prepare for the day. She silently prayed for his safety, as she did every day, constantly hoping her twin brother would make it back home. Despite Jasiah's ability to handle himself and overcome seemingly impossible odds, his life—like anyone's—was never guaranteed.

[ HONESTY BROWN ]
— 𝖩𝖺𝗌𝗂𝖺𝗁'𝗌 𝗍𝗐𝗂𝗇 𝗌𝗂𝗌𝗍𝖾𝗋

"Wait, so let me get this straight" Honesty placed her hands on her hips. "Yall fought, like deadass throwing hands and connecting them bitches with no mercy whatsoever and you damn near broke her spine against the floor ... now ... yall are about to go tag team her ex?" She looked off into space with her eyebrows furrowed "Am I missing some pages of this chapter?"

He looked up at her as he tucked the gun into his pants. "No. That pretty much sums it up"

"So yall ... don't hate it each anymore?" She remained very confused about the two's status because never has Jasiah sided with someone he considered an opp.

"We do, and my intentions with her still stands. It's just on a pause" Jasiah stood up, Honesty's eyes traveled upwards as he was now standing five inches taller than her.

"I don't think that's how it wor—"

"Stop talking Honesty" He shook his head as he walked away from her. "Shit don't matter"
