but you keep poking the demon in me like you ain't got shit to lose.

EXTENDED...

The building erupted in chaos as gunshots rang out, filling the air with the terrified screams of everyone inside. People scrambled towards every available emergency exit, including the dancers who had been performing that night, all desperate to escape the unknown danger.

Jasiah, peering through a small gap in the curtains, scanned the frantic crowd until his gaze locked onto Emery and his entourage. Enraged, he spun around just in time to see Iris adjusting her skirt, her expression unreadable.

Jasiah grabbed her by her arm and snatched her closer to him. His aggressiveness hurt her arm, but of course she wouldn't let him see that. "Tell me what the fuck going on" He talked through his gritted teeth as he drew his gun from his pocket and put it under her chin, pressing it hard against her skin. "Or I'll blow yo fucking tongue up to yo goddamn brain"

Jasiah's mind raced with suspicion. Despite their recent cordiality, their history was too fraught for him to trust Iris completely. For all he knew, she could have been playing him all along, setting him up for this very moment.

"I don't knowww," Iris protested, trying to pull away. But Jasiah's grip was unyielding, his hands tightening around her. "I don't have shit to do with this"

"He ain't never in his fucking life tried to step foot in my place until you and yo' lil friend showed up who been looking at me funny since I walked up to you. The doors have been open since 7... four hours ago, and y'all got here 20 minutes ago and got this nigga—" He paused, laughing and shaking his head. "All three of y'all gon' die tonight."

"Like I said, I don't have shit to do with this. I was with you" Iris insisted, her voice trembling.

He moved the gun from her chin and kissed his teeth. "Man Iris Ion give a fuck bout that. That shit don't mean a fuck ass thing to me. It's just pussy" He let go of her with a push, making her stumble back into the counter behind her.

Hearing his words stung, but Iris knew she couldn't blame anyone but herself. She barely knew Jasiah, and had just become cordial. She had let a few drinks cloud her judgment, and now she regretted it deeply. The lingering wetness between her legs only added to her disgust.

The building was nearly empty now. Furious, Iris yanked the curtains back, exposing their section. She descended the steps with a determined stride. "Fuck you," she spat, her voice laced with anger and hurt.

"Ohhh" Emery laughed from below once seeing the two. "But bitch I coulda swore you said you wasn't fucking with this nigga. You ain't worth a fuck" Emery shook his head.

Unbothered by Emery's presence, Jasiah propped his elbows on the railing making his gun tap against it to make a clinging metal sound. "Believe her nigga, I ain't fucking with her— Aye, where shawty at that she popped up with? Lil lightskin baby with the curly hair"
