[song for this chapter-- towards the end]
The One - Kodaline
(I never do songs for chapters so this one is very important.)I watched as Jack adjusted his tux in the mirror. Usually you're not suppose to look this nice for a wedding, (from my experience anyways) but I guess his aunt sent requests for everyone to be dressed 100% formally. I had on a tight red dress with laced sleeves, and black heels. The necklace I was wearing matched the sandals. I put my hair into a loose french braid, and now I kind of remind myself of Elsa from Frozen.
"Ready?" He asked.
I nodded, grabbing my things.
"Are your parents picking us up or?" I asked.
"Yeah." He said. "She's outside."
When we got all of our stuff, we headed out of the hotel room and down into the lobby. Everybody that we passed stared at us, but I don't blame them. We are one hot couple. When we got to the parking lot. We got into the backseat of his parents car.
"Heeeyy!!" David greeted. "You two look like you're ready for the red carpet."
"I'm going to have to say the same thing about you guys!" I said.
They both smiled. "Where's Laura and Molly?" Jack asked.
"They're already there. We would've brought them, but there wasn't enough room." Katherine said.
We pulled out of the parking lot and got onto the road. Oregon is so pretty.
Whenever I'm in the car with Jack's parents, there's always so much to talk about and we're constantly talking. I love it. It took us about 30 minutes to get to the place. We pulled into a long driveway surrounded by lots of trees and flowers. Once we reached the driveway, the castle became visible. It was just like a fairytale. I looked around at all of the people in their clothing. If I didn't know any better, I would've assumed we were at a ball. Jack looked over and smiled at me.
"You're so pretty." He said.
I grinned. "Why thank you."
Once the car stopped, we all got out. We walked as a group into the large building. Upon entering the doors, the air was immediately cool. The floors were marble. I looked at a sign that had the groom and brides name on it. Nick and Audra.
"Wow." I said.
"It's back here." David led us to the back of the place, and out the doors. There were chairs everywhere and lights hanging from the trees. People were getting seated and getting ready. We walked over to some empty seats and sat down next to Molly and Laura. I think they might've been more excited to see me than I was to see them, which I didn't think was possible.
"Hi!" A guy came by the row we were at and greeted David and Katherine. He then said hi to Jack.
"And who's this?" He held his hand out for me to shake.
"I'm Paige, Jack's girlfriend." I said, shaking his hand.
"Ooooh, Paige. I've heard such wonderful things about you! I'm Derick, Jack's uncle. Nick is my son. Very nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too!" I smiled.
Soon enough, a woman was telling everyone to be seated. We all got quiet and looked around. Someone played the piano, and that's when everyone started coming in.
Everyone in Jack's family is so beautiful, I swear. All the men looked sharp, and all the women looked fabulous. The flower girl graciously threw rose petals on the floor. They couldn't have picked a cuter girl to do it.
