I stood up from the chair I was sitting in. "Alright, we need a game plan, then."

"Okay, you and Jack go walk around and look for the security room or where they keep the cameras. Meet us back here." Nash said.

Me and Jack exchanged glances, but then seemingly agreed.

"Okay.." Jack grabbed my hand and began walking out of the room. I looked back at Jack J on the bed, who was staring at mine and Jacks interlocked hands. I quickly looked away and followed out the door.

We began walking down the hallway in silence. I'm not sure where we're going, I'm just following Jack.

"Wait, so like, any idea where we're going?" I said. We were still holding hands.

"I'm assuming they're downstairs." He looked at me. We approached the elevator and stepped inside. "But I'm not sure, I mean I don't think hospitals usually set up their security in the building."

I clicked the button for the bottom floor, and we began descending.

"Maybe I should just call Ava." I said.

"I think that'd be good idea, but only if we don't find something on the security footage.." He shrugged. The elevator door opened, and we walked around the corner and towards the front of the hospital.

"I feel like a spy." I giggled, squeezing his hand as we walked.

He chuckled at me. "Okay Paige."

I looked up at him for a moment, smiling. I guess even if it was for just a few moments, he made me forget the circumstances we're under.

"Look." He pointed towards a guy walking out of a room. "I think that's it." We stopped near a resting area with a bunch of chairs and sat down, keeping a clear eye on the room that the guy came out of. The label on the door clearly said "security." I'm not sure if means that the cameras are in there, but it's worth a try.

"How are we going to get in there?" I asked. I watched as another guy walked out of the room. While the door was open, I could see that nobody else was in there.

"Let's just go. Now." Jack stood up.

"Wait!" I stood up. "Well, we can't just go in there!!" I said.

"Yes we can!" He looked at me. "They probably left for a bathroom break and we have a max amount of like 2 minutes to check things out in there. If anyone comes in, we'll say we're lost." He began walking towards the door, and I couldn't help but follow.

We both quickly looked around before entering the room. He rushed inside and I closely followed, closing the door behind me. I saw countless cameras on the desk, all of which were live on what was happening right now. I looked at the camera in the hallway that me and Jack were just in. If we don't get the footage now, they'll know we were in here and possibly looking for something.

Where were they when Jack J was being choked?

"Uhhh," He frantically looked around. "I'm really bad at this technical stuff, usually Jack does this stuff."

"Yeah, I'll meet you out there in a minute." I heard someone say right outside the door.

I immediately widened my eyes.

"Get in there!" Jack whispered, pointing to a closet door in the room. Apparently I wasn't quick enough to respond, because Jack opened the door for me and shoved me inside. I stumbled over a mop and was being suffocated by a jacket.

"Oh, who are you?" I heard a man say.

"Hi, I'm here for the job shadowing for my high school. My name is Carl." I heard Jack's voice.

Really Jack? Carl?

"Oh, uh, I don't usually deal with all that stuff. Arnold should be here to help with that, but he didn't come into work today. I suppose I can teach you a few things." I heard the guy.

I suddenly wanted to jump out of the closet and tell Jack what a good plan this was, but I had to keep silent. I'm not sure how long I can sit in here.. It smells like black coffee beans and cardboard, and I have to pee.

"Okay, so I think I'm just suppose to show you a typical day in the life here!" The guy chuckled. "So basically,"

He went on to Jack about what he does and how things work. This is perfect, because Jack can even ask questions without suspicion now.

Jack J's POV:

Sam was still pacing the room.

"Bro can you stop walking around so fast? It's making me anxious." I said.

"Sorry." He looked at me, biting his nail. "This is some deeep shit. They've been gone for too long to not have found the room."

I looked over at Nash, who looked like he was studying the pattern of the hospital tile.

"You don't have to stay if you don't want, Nash." I said.

He looked up at me. "No, I want to help.. I'm not busy today and I'd rather be here."

Funny. He'd rather be here and I'd do anything to get out. I'm always energetic, and sitting in this bed all the time is draining me.

"Okay." I nodded. "I just don't want to get you in any trouble.. I mean you either Sam." I looked at the both of them.

"You know I'm not gonna leave until we have answers. I'm already emotionally attached to the situation." Sam rubbed his eye.

Jack's POV:

After he finished explaining to me about how the cameras and the security footage worked, he kept going on about pointless information that wasn't helpful to my actual situation.

If I actually was job shadowing, I'd be thankful for this information, but right now I just want to steal the tapes and get out of here.
