A few weeks later, almost everyone knew about mine and Jack's engagement. I'd posted a picture of the ring on my hand on Instagram and that's when the fans knew. We were getting more positive responses than negative, and everything was going amazing. The only downside was the floods of even more paparazzi every time I went out.

I was going through some old clothes when Jack J walked into the room.

"Hi." He said, sitting on the bed.

"Hi." I smiled. "What's up?" I went back to sorting through the clothes.

"We have to tell Jack." I heard him say. I dropped what I was doing and turned around to face him.

"About the kiss." He went on. "It's not right, I feel terrible. I'm surprised you haven't said anything." He shrugged.

"You think just because I haven't said anything that I don't feel terrible?!" I defended. "What keeps me going is the fact that it was just a meaningless kiss.. I mean, I-" I trailed off once I saw the look on his face. It made me feel horrible.

"I know you thought it was meaningless." He nodded. "I understand.. I just feel like shit."

I sighed. I could hear my heart pumping faster and faster. I can't tell Jack.

HEEEELLLP ME! HELP! SOMEBODY! I could hear a woman screaming outside of the house. Me and Jack J immediately jumped up and into the front room, bursting out the front door. There was a woman across the street being- robbed? I think. A man kept pulling at her purse. It was around her body, so she wouldn't let go. She kept crying for help.

"Shit." Jack J ran across the street. I didn't know what else to do but just stand there.

I watched as Jack J tried to swing at the guy. Immediately, he pulled out a gun. Jack J stepped back.

"Woah, woah." Jack J put his hands up.

I began slowly backing up, so I could go into the house and tell Jack.

"YOU'RE NOT GOING ANYWHERE!" The guy screamed at me. I stopped dead in my tracks.

The woman threw her purse at him. "TAKE IT!" She yelled. "TAKE IT AND GO!"

He still had the gun aimed at Jack J.

A police car came swerving around one corner, and another around the other. The man was now surrounded.

"LA PD! YOU ARE SURROUNDED! DROP YOUR WEAPON!" One of the policemen yelled.

The guy started laughing. It sent chills down my spine.

He shook his head, staring at Jack J. "Bro, this is your fault."

Just like that, the gun went off. Jack J fell to the ground. The woman screamed. The guy shot himself.

I could hear Jack.

Before I could think to react any other way, I went sprinting into the road. I looked at Jack J laying on the ground. The bullet hit him right in his chest. I cried, and my hands began to shake.

"JACK." I yelled.

He opened his eyes halfway and looked at me. He was choking. Jack was by my side, yelling Jack J's name. The only thing he had on was a towel.

My eyes got blurry with tears and I shook with fear. I couldn't stop crying. The police were talking to us, but Jack was the only one responding. I couldn't take my eyes off Jack J.

He slowly started to close his eyes.

"JACK." I yelled. "No.. Don't do this." I whispered. My tears fell one by one onto his shirt.

His eyes shut.
