My heart sunk, and my face turned red. I looked him in the eyes. "You know I'd take it back if I could Jack. I didn't enjoy it, I didn't even feel it. The only thing I felt was guilt."

"But you did it." He shrugged.

My eyes teared up. "Oh, so I guess when you just sat there on Mack's couch in Omaha making out with that blonde chick, it was okay? But I make one half a second mistake with one of my friends and you're trying to say that you don't want to marry me? Right." I cried.

"I wasn't in my right mind. That was different.." He argued.

"Well I'm sure you enjoyed it. I'm sure your drunk self was very satisfied afterwards. And you know what? I forgave you Jack. Because I love you, I forgave your mistake." I stood up and walked into the front room, wiping tears from my eyes.

I sat down on the couch, realizing that he came and sat down right next to me.

"I'm sorry." He whispered. I looked down, studying the veins in his hand which was sitting on top of my thigh.

"For what?" I asked. I'm not sure what he's apologizing for. It's me who should be apologizing.

"For being so jealous and forgetting everything I've done to you. I don't even deserve to have you." He shook his head.

"Yes you do." I nodded.

"I was so rude to Jack too.. I'm an idiot." He ran his fingers through his hair and sighed.

"What'd you do to Jack?" I asked.

"I got up in his face and told him to move out.. He was pissing me off."

Jack J's POV:

I sighed and changed the channel on the remote for probably the 14th time. I settled for watching re-runs of Friends.

I feel so alone in here. I guess I feel alone at home too. Watching someone you love with someone else just hurts your heart, especially if you're confused about why you feel the way you do. You know you shouldn't, but some weird part of you just does and doesn't have anything to stop it.

"Jack, you have a visitor!" The nurse peeked her head through the door.

Nash was just here, who else could possibly know about what happened?!

At first I didn't recognize her.

When she moved her hair out of her face and looked up at me, I knew.

Ava.
