A few more weeks passed. I've been working a lot lately, and Don is still bugging me about getting the job in London. He said it's not a requirement, and that he loves having me in LA, but I'd be making millions if I took it. I just can't wrap my mind around leaving California yet.
I think the Halloween party we're throwing tonight is bound to get my mind off things. We invited nearly everyone we know, including Shawn. I'm still not sure if he's coming.
It's 7:30pm, and it starts at 9pm. We've got some cool decorations if I must say so myself. The fog machine we put on the floor makes everything spooky. We've got a strobe light, huge speakers, a disco ball, and music. It's about to be lit.
I watched Jack play with the fog coming out of the machine on the ground.
"What are you doing?" I giggled.
He smiled at me. "This is so sick."
"How many people do you think are going to be here?" I asked.
"Probably like... 800." He shrugged.
"Uhh, 800?" I laughed. "Can this house fit that many people?"
"Well it's kinda huge Paige." He grinned again. "We could probably fit like 2,000."
I widened my eyes. It is a huge house, but having that many people in here is a scary thought. We've got some expensive decorations in here.
"Who'd you invite?" He asked.
"Justin and his friends, Matt, Shawn, Barb and all my model friends, Halsey, like... Everyone I know. Who'd you invite?"
"Same, basically everyone I know. They all said they were coming too so we're going to have a ton of people here."
That's true. Also counting the fact that Jack J probably invited a ton of people as well.
Jack J walked into the kitchen, wearing all black and a gold necklace. He was shoving a roll into his mouth.
"Oh that's dope." He pointed to the fog machine.
"I know!!!" Jack got all excited.
A few hours later, people started arriving. Some were in costumes- most actually, and I loved it. I was just wearing a black dress with black tights and some cute boots. Jack was also in all black.
I greeted everyone, showed them where the food and drinks were, and complimented their costumes. By about 9:30, there were already hundreds of people.
I gave Justin a hug as soon as I saw him. Even he was in all black. We talked for a few minutes, then I moved on to say hi to some other people.
"SHAWN!" I nearly screamed. He walked into the front door, giving me the biggest smile I'd ever seen. He ran up to me and wrapped me in a hug, spinning me around.
"I've missed you so much!" I said.
"I've missed you too! You've got one hell of a nice house. It's amazing."
"Thank you! We moved in a couple weeks ago. I love it."
We sat there for a moment, just smiling at each other. Shawn is definitely one of my best friends.
At one point, he started laughing.
"What?" I laughed.
"I don't know. It's just so good to see you. You look great."
"Well thank you. You look great too. I see videos of you on Twitter all the time and you're really great at what you do, so congrats on that." I smiled.
