AN: Welcome to another chapter of Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This). I hope you enjoyed the last chapter. I hope this one is just as great. Sorry that this chapter is late! I was on vacation! I also struggled with this chapter for a bit, it honestly, isn't one of my favorites and I struggled but did my best!

At some point during surgical residency, most interns get a sense of who they are as doctors and the kinds of surgeons they are going to become. If you ask them, they'll tell you they are going to be general surgeons, orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons. Distinctions which do more than describe their area of expertise, they help define who they are, because outside the operating room, not only do most surgeons have no idea who they are, they're afraid to find out.

"Are you sure you'll be okay home alone?" Mark Sloan asked for what seemed like the hundredth time to his girlfriend who was reclined in her bed, propped up by numerous pillows, feeding their daughter, as he prepared for his first day at Seattle Grace Hospital.

Mark had once again spent the night at Eddie's apartment to help out with Frankie. The couple had a date night before, and Mark had spent the night with his two favorite girls. It might be a bit fast, and strange for them to practically be living together already, but, honestly, it was working for them.

"We'll be fine, Mark." Eddie promised. "Conrad has the day off and he said he'd stop by after he gets some sleep. I can also just carry Frankie in a wrap most of the day, and if we play, I just sit on the couch and watch her, instead of stranding myself on the floor."

Mark had been worried about how Eddie would do with a long stretch of time alone with Frankie, while also being on crutches. She would not be returning to work for another week (on very light duty, no surgeries for the next couple weeks after she returned). And, Mark was worried about her and Frankie. Not that she wasn't capable, it was just going to be difficult and he wished he could have pushed back his starting date.
