It had been about a week and a half since Meredith had almost drowned and came back from being close to death. Eddie was just glad to see there didn't seem to be any long term damage or side effects of her time down. Except for the fact that she and Cristina had become like her shadows or a concerned mother, always making sure she was okay, worried that if they hadn't heard from her in a while, that something happened and went wrong.
Also, Cristina and Burke could now officially start wedding planning. Eddie could tell Burke was much more into it than Cristina. Cristina wasn't like her, dreaming of her wedding day for years and years. She wasn't going to be a girl who gushed over getting a dress, or want to stress over things like guest lists, cake tastings, or if she wanted to serve chicken or beef for dinner. Honestly, Eddie saw Cristina as an elope in Vegas girl or simply going to the courthouse and getting married in jeans, a t-shirt, and her leather jacket.
Burke, was the one, according to Cristina who had come by Eddie and Mark's apartment after work, that was turning into a bit of a groomzilla.
While Eddie and Mark were just living in their peaceful bubble. Happy and sickening in love as Meredith and Cristina joked. Mark had insisted they celebrate her amazing surgery, it wasn't everyday a surgical intern did Burr holes out in the field without the proper treatment.
Eddie and Mark also decided that life was to short and wanted to make sure they spent time with their little girl. Frankie seemed to love all the extra family time with snuggles and playtime, and she seemed to adore the zoo and the aquarium that her parents took her to.
