"Aunt Eddie! Uncle Mark!" Milo greeted excitedly as he raced out of his house, as he saw Eddie and Mark, whom were each carrying one of their daughters. Frankie was in Eddie's arms and Conor was in Mark's.
Eddie was carrying two large bags of food in her free hand while Mark carried a bouncer for Connor.
She, Mark, Frankie, and Connor were having brunch with Alec, Rory, Milo, and Lottie. It was a Saturday, and before the birth of Lottie, whenever they had a Saturday off, they would have brunch together. Conrad usually joined them, but he was at work today.
"Hey bud!" Mark greeted with a smile as he braced himself for his nephew's impact around his knees. He had practice from years of practice with the Shepherd sisters' children.
"Hey Milo." Eddie said with a grin. "How are you?"
"Good!" Milo greeted with a wide grin.
"Hey guys!" Alec said from the entryway, with Lottie in his arms, wrapped in a fluffy blanket with little elephants on it.
"Hey Alec!" Eddie said as she entered the house before Mark, and took a peak at her little niece who was contently sleeping. "Hi pretty girl, god, she's gotten so big."
"She has." Alec said ever the proud father.
"Hey guys!" Rory said as she made her way down the stairs. "Thanks for doing brunch here today."
"It is no problem!" Mark said, "trust us, we understand, the first few weeks be barely left the house, let alone went to restaurants."
"Let's set up at the kitchen table." Alec said, as they made their way through the house.
Eddie put the bags of food on the island and then put Frankie down and she immediately raced over to Milo happy to see her cousin.
"Hi Frankie!" Milo greeted, giving her a hug, which got a smile from the adults in the room.
Milo and Frankie then ran into the living room which shared an open concept with the kitchen, to watch the latest episode of their cartoon they loved.
Mark set Connor down in the bouncy seat he placed on the floor.
"So, how is work?" Rory asked, while she missed Seattle Grace, she was soaking up the time with Alec, Milo, and Lottie.
"The chief has been cracking down since our number twelve placement, making a lot of new rules." Eddie said, "and I told you all about the flood fiasco."
