Lexie Grey was walking by the conference room where the chief, Richard Webber, was meeting with the attendings to pick which second year resident was going to do the first solo surgery. She was trying to read their lips while looking inconspicuous...it wasn't working as well as she hoped.

"He said "Karev."" Ryan announced as he Burt into the room.
"Yes!" Alex cheered.
"Are you sure?" Eddie said, this was the third name in the last fifteen minutes and Eddie was one of the first.
"Yeah." Ryan said.
"You're "sure" sure?" Meredith asked.
And, Ryan's confidence bravado disappeared and started to stammer before he left.
"Okay you two it's not nice to tease the interns." Alex said amused by Eddie and Meredith's antics.
It had been two weeks since the interns had been caught, and Sadie Harris almost died in an unnecessary and highly illegal surgery. Eddie was still angry at the interns for what they did, and partly towards her friends for letting it to to the point their interns decided this little secret society they made was the only way to actually learn. She had been putting all of them through the wringer, and it was honestly very amusing to watch.
