15 - Secrets

"Jungkook? Need you to wake up for me, yeah?", the ravenette woke up with Taehyung sitting next to him on the edge of the bed, running his hand through his hair. What a sight, he could get used to it.

"How are you feeling? Does your head hurt?", stretching and cracking all the bones in his body and emitting a high-pitched growl, Jungkook hugs the older's thigh and closes his eyes again, "m'okay Tae, let's get back to sleep shall we?"

Laughing softly Taehyung continues ruffling the boy's raven hair, "it's 1 PM already, sleep beauty. I already went out, had my class and you're still sleeping. Here, I made you some tea to help you with your hangover."

"Did you hurt Teatea to make this?"

"Teatea?"

"Yeah, my mint plant. You are Taetae and it is Teatea. Ba-dum-tss."

Facepalming himself but hiding his smile Taehyung gets up from the bed and shakes Jungkook's legs to wake him up, "yes, I ripped off lots of Teatea's leaves but it will survive... hey, I'm going home, I woke you up to say goodbye."

Upon hearing this, Jungkook wides his eyes completely, sitting up on bed, "why? It's still early, we could enjoy all afternoon".

Taehyung explains that he got a call from Jin asking him to return as soon as possible to help him with some farm paperwork that only he could resolve. "Busy business season is here, I'll have a lot to deal with in the next few weeks and won't be able to come here next month."

Jungkook's face changes into a sad grimace, his big doe eyes hiding nothing about his disappointment, "and for that reason, Jeon, it's your turn to come visit me and spend a few days. I'll wait for you there soon, yeah?", the younger nods a little more relieved knowing that he wouldn't go a whole month without seeing the boy.

They both leave the room and Taehyung grabs his things were already waiting in the living room and heads to the elevator with Jungkook on his heels, "let me know when you arrive home, drive safe. And I'll give you heads up about your photoshoot soon."

"I'll wait for you, Jeon. I'm being serious, take a few days off and spend some time with me... it will be fun. Ah, I met with Yoongi earlier, he told you to go to his place for lunch when you wake up", Jungkook just stops holding himself and engulfs Taehyung in a bear hug.

"I bought you blueberry muffins, don't want to risk you getting sick eating just fruit, but have lunch first ok? See you soon", Taehyung unfortunately leaves the boys strong arms and enters the elevator.

With a sad sigh Jungkook walks back to his apartment as he hears a door nearby unlocking.

C'monnnn...

"Oh my God, what the hell was that? You two are too cute! I feel sick", Jimin said dramatically leaving his apartment just to grab Jungkook by his shoulders, dragging him inside.

"Spill the tea, did something happen between you two? What did I witness in the hallway?", Jimin looks at him with his big puppy eyes waiting for Jungkook to tell him something.

"Nothing happened, we're just good friends still", but he knows he can't hide anything from Jimin and also feels like sharing, "however, I feel like the tension between us can be cut with a knife", he then tells about the episodes at BE and the club (leaving out the more explicit details). And he talks about Taehyung inviting him to spend a few days at his farm.

"You're going and that's a fact, now you have to plan how to take the next step, Kook. Why are you taking so long? I've never seen you so afraid of trying to get a guy."

And Jimin is right. Jungkook has always been quick to go after what he wants. Usually the guys would go to him, but when he needed to make a move he did it without hesitation. Just remembering how he chased Jackson until he finally got the man makes him feel ashamed. And regretting.
