Taehyung left his room, rubbing the towel in his hair after a well-deserved shower. With much effort, he managed to put things in order and running his way on the farm and (again) taught the new hires how to do certain things.
Now, he needs to google how to get a passport.
He walks into the living room to sit with his laptop when he hears knocks on the door. It's not Jin, for sure; if Jin forgot the key, he would already be yelling or jumping through the window.
He hangs the towel over his shoulders and opens the door. A person dressed all in black holding a huge bouquet of roses in front of his face. If Taehyung didn't know him by his breathing, his tattooed hand holding the flowers would give him away. Jungkook. Jungkook is here.
The photographer lowers the bouquet a little showing off his beautiful big eyes, "I couldn't wait two more days to see you."
Taehyung pulls him by the arm and envelops him in a silent hug, his arms around his boyfriend's neck bringing him as close to his body as possible.
Finally, they were together again, as it should be.
Jungkook wraps his arm around his boyfriend's waist with his free arm and kisses his blond hair, "you smell good, love. I missed you so much." Taehyung couldn't say anything, just hold onto Jungkook tighter and tighter, his fingers gripping his shirt as if he were about to vanish at any moment.
Jungkook giggles and guides them into the living room; he puts the flowers on the couch and hugs his boyfriend appropriately. His hands caressing Taehyung's back and waist, and his body feels so different under his touch. Taehyung seems to disappear between his arms, fragile.
Jungkook moves their bodies apart and holds Taehyung's face in his hands, tracing the outline of his beautiful boxy smile with his thumb, "wanna go for a walk?" Taehyung nodded and held Jungkook's hand, leading them outside.
It was already late afternoon, and the golden light covered the couple walking along the dirt path towards the mint fields, the strong wind messing up their hair while they couldn't wipe the smile off their faces.
"Tell me, how was it with Hobi and Namjoon?"
"Oh, it was better than I expected. I'm lucky to have the best friends in the world." Jungkook told him all the details of the meeting and that Yoongi would replace him on team Jung.
"When is your last day?"
"In two weeks. Are you really okay with that, Tae? I feel bad for leaving you alone there." Taehyung stops in the middle of the path and stands facing the younger, stroking his hands with his thumbs, "I'm so fucking happy for you. And so proud. You more than anyone else deserve to grab this opportunity and move towards your dreams. And I'll be right by your side, if you allow me. I have a little over three months left on my contract and that's it, we'll both leave that company in the past."
"I want you by my side forever, Tae. Do you forgive me? I can't lose you, you're part of me, being without you for so many days was torture."
"That's gay, Jeon." Taehyung smiles and wraps his arms around Jungkook's neck again, "and I'm so fucking gay for you, Tae. Will you forgive me?"
"Of course, Kookie. I love you so much, thank you for trying to be better for me, I'm trying to be better for you too. I'll listen more, talk more, share more. I'm just yours and I'm so proud of that."
Jungkook moves Taehyung's hair from his forehead and kisses him, seeing the scar on his eyebrow and gently caressing it, "oh, Tae. I love you more. I know it because you keep hurting yourself. What was that?"
Taehyung giggles, "what a way to cut off a confession, Jeon. I slipped in the hotel bathroom. Nothing serious."
Jungkook watches him there, up close as he runs his hands over his boyfriend's waist. Taehyung's face is so thin, his beautiful bread cheeks are gone, his eyes tired. Under his touch he feels the curves that were once soft and now he feels angles and protruding bones.
