Things didn't start out well today. In fact, the last few days have been full of bureaucratic and manual work on the farm. Early in the morning, two of the best men on the farm crew called to say they couldn't attend to work, which meant even more hard work for the young farmer.
While Jin stayed in the office dealing with bureaucratic issues and making phone calls, Taehyung takes his truck and heads to the field. An employee forgot to return the planter machine to its base the day before and now some fluid had frozen and the machine wouldn't start.
Great.
It takes Taehyung about two hours to fix the mechanical problem, then he can start to plowing a new piece of land, preparing it for planting new mint seedlings.
At the end of the day the boy is exhausted, hungry and filthy. From afar he sees Jin coming to collect the machine to its rightful place and he can finally go home to eat something.
And as he was driving back home he sees a black car coming down the main road and recognizes that car. Jungkook.
Kook is here.
With so much work during the day, Taehyung ends up forgetting that the boy would arrive from the city today, and he hasn't stopped thinking about it for the whole week that has passed.
He glances at his own figure in the car mirror and makes a disgusting face. Damn it. I look like a filthy, stinky bag of trash. I should have stopped working sooner.
He reaches for the box of tissues in the car, wets one of it with the bottle of water he has and cleans his face as best as he can, combing his tangled hair with his fingers and fixing his eyebrows. When he looks at his hands he feels even more disgusted, having a mixture of dirt and grease under his nails.
But things are what they are.
He parks in front of his house and shortly afterwards Jungkook's car stops alongside. A well-groomed, smelling awesome, handsome and bunny smiling Jungkook jumps out the car with bags that Taehyung recognizes to be from a bakery they both go to in Seoul.
"Don't look at me with those eyes, they're not blueberry muffins! It's bavarian donuts, I tried it a few days ago and it tastes awful so I thought you'd love them", obviously making fun of Taehyung and his sweet tooth, the treat is probably quite sweet.
"D-don't hug me, you'll get dirty—", but it is too late, Jungkook wrapped the older in his arms and lifted him slightly, "don't care, missed you, Taetae".
"Missed you too, but I'm a mess. Let me take a shower before you get all touchy", Jungkook backs up and crosses his arms looking straight into the brunette's eyes, "do you have the audacity to call me touchy? You? I've never seen anyone clingier."
"Shut up and get into the house, my donuts are going to freeze out here", Taehyung guides them both inside while helping the younger with his bags, going straight to the guest room.
The room followed the rustic and comfy style of the house and had a queen bed, "this room is much better than the other one you stayed in last time, at least you will fit in the bed. Make yourself comfortable, I'll take a shower, okay?" Jungkook nodded and started to unpack his things.
Taehyung heads to his suite and runs to the shower, wanting to look better for Jungkook. Little did he know that the younger almost drooled when he saw him all manly and disheveled, thinking he was perfect even in that state.
After a good shower dedicating himself to brush his nails to remove all the dirt, Taehyung meets Jungkook again in the living room and the photographer looks him up and down while poking the inside of his mouth with his tongue. The familiarly sweet eyes looking hungry.
