Chapter 10- Relief

Din Djarin's point of view:

My mind had begun racing as soon as I walked into my apartment ; what was I supposed to do? I could ask Ashoka or Bo to move in with them temporarily but they both had their own stuff going on, and I had just made a scene.

I threw myself down onto the sofa and heard a snap, "Great." I sighed, too lazy to even be bothered. As I lay down I held Grogu tight to my chest to try and keep him warm.

Without warning, I felt a buzz from my pocket. I took my phone from my pocket to see a message from an unknown number.

Unknown.

Hey Din, its Leia. I snatched your number from Luke's phone while he was in the bathroom. Everything alright?

Quickly changing the contact name to Leia, I responded:

If getting kicked out of your apartment counts as fine, then I'm fine :)

I was being sarcastic of course.

Oh so sorry man, that sucks. Are you gonna be okay, what are you gonna do?

I don't know, I couldn't even afford this one.

She didn't respond. Silence.

I rested my phone against my chest and let out a sigh of relief. Maybe I wasn't completely fucked after all. Now that I had finally got a minute I read the eviction notice. It said :

Eviction notice
7 day notice to pay rent or quit.
To Din Djarin,

you are hereby notified that you have been in breach with your tenancy and have not payed your rent in two months. As a result if this, we ask that you either pay the two months money in these seven days or we wall have to evict you.

(A/N im not a landlord, I don't know how eviction notices work. I know this probably isn't right)

There was far more legal stuff under that but I got the summary of it. I smiled as I put it on my chest knowing that I no longer had to worry about it. Maybe there still was some humanity left.
