Din Djarin's pov:

Monday soon rolled around and here I was picking up Grogu from my own house so I could work? This whole situation seemed so bizarre. Not only was I working for a millionaire to pay off debt but I was bringing my cat with me so said millionaire could look after him. What?!

Turns out the walk to his building was fourth minutes so I was a little... a lot later than expected. I pushed those weird glass rotating doors and made my way to the reception desk. The lady at the desk looked up pursing her lips, "How can I help you?" She said slowly and snarky as if she was bored by my company.

"Hi, I'm here to see Luke Skywalker... I think." He hadn't gave me any directions on what to do when I got here, just to get here.

"You're the five o'clock aren't you?" She asked in her nasally tone.

"Yes! Yes I am." I said frantically glancing at the clock above her which read half past five.

"Go to floor eighteen and then room twenty seven. You should see it, it has a large gold plaque on the door." She informed me.

"Thank you." I sped away and barged into the lift clicking the button that said eighteen. As the lift slowly ascended I thought of all the possible scenarios and my heart began beating out of my chest.

Once the doors opened I ran out and pretty much fell my ways through the corridors. At last I reached a door that read, 'Luke Skywalker' on a large gold plaque. I burst through the door, "I'm sorry I'm late it's just-"

Luke rolled his eyes, "Go back out a knock. Rude." He said. Oh I was being rude?

However, I did as he said, closed the door and knocked. I received a muffled, 'come in' from inside. I opened the heavy wooden door to be met with a very large office.

It had a great window that had a beautiful view of London, a large polished wooden desk, lots of filing cabinets and a stunning green carpet.

Luke cleared his throat, "Your late." He snarled. My word I could of bashed his face in.

"Yeah, well as I tried to say-" I started.

He waved his hand at me, "Shut up. What's done is done, you are late. Anyway, sit down." He ushered me over. I sat down in the great leather chair placed in front of his desk and he stared directly at me. "You are here to clean, that's what I have decided you should do."

Thank the lord, thats something I can do. "Okay, where would you like me to start?"

"We have cleaners all throughout this building. You will be doing my office and my office only." He said his face someone always laced with disgust.

"Okay. May I ask why?" It was strange. Grogu started licking at the chair and I quickly pulled him away.

"No one can do it right. However I'm hoping you can get it right. Given my experience with you and that coffee though I'm heavily doubting that." Great, he's picky. "Hand the cat here." He demanded.

Reluctantly, I passed Grogu to him who went straight at him, "Ow it bit me!" He exclaimed holding Grogu's at arms length.

"Well its name is Grogu." I said and then started to mumble, "And usually does that to stuck up twats he doesn't like." I uttered and avoided his gaze.

"What did you say?" Luke asked raising both his eyebrows and voice. "Stand up. Now!" He shouted. Not wanting to make him any angrier than he already was I stood up, "Your attitude is going to be sorted out right now! In this building you will adress me as Sir and anything I need you shall get!" He yelled. "Now get to cleaning, theres a bucket with everything you need over there."

I looked over to the corner he was pointing at and sure enough there was a bucket, mop and a load of other cleaning supplies. First thing I picked up was a duster.

As I cleaned it felt like he was staring me down, watching my every move, "You missed a spot." He pointed out.

"I know that." I spoke through my teeth, "I was going back to do that..." I thought I had finished my sentence however he raised his eyebrows as if I had missed something, "Sir." I realised.

He smiled smugly, "Good." He got up and went over to his cabinet and pulled out a bottle of whisky and a (very pretensions) crystal glass. He poured a drink and sipped it as he watched me intently.

I worked in silence and I didn't even think about meeting his gaze. I hated every second of this and I couldn't wait to leave and bitch about him to Bo and Ashoka.

"What's that in your pocket?" He wasn't asking me, he was demanding an answer.

I rolled my eyes and reached my hand into my pocket to see what it was. "It's my phone... sir." I hated saying that.

"That won't do, it has a massive crack down the middle." He scowled. "We'll need to get you a new one. If I need to contact you about work I'm not having that thing as an excuse."

"Well good look." I shrugged, "I cant afford another one."

Luke rolled his eyes and then reached into his draw, "Here." He threw something at me.

Quickly I caught something... a phone. "What?"

"Here." He got up and walked over to me, placing Grogu on the floor. "I'll put in my number so I can be sure I'm able to contact you." He took it from my hands and started messing with it.

I hadn't realised how close he was until the last second so I quickly look a step back. "And you just have those lying around?" I scoffed.

"It's a tech company." He looked me dead in the eye and handed me back the phone. "Well, your shift is over," he glanced around his office, "not too bad, get here on time next time." He smiled bitterly and placed his hand on my shoulder.

I quickly shrugged it away picked up Grogu and left. I did not want to exchange any more words with that man.
