Din Djarin's point if view:

A few weeks had passed since Luke's birthday and things had cleared up a bit - some of his friends apologised for their actions, his mother apologised for his father however he was still yet to here anything from him. Recently, I had been staying over with Luke and sleeping with him.

We both agreed that we had gotten off to a hast start and decided that getting to know each other properly was a good idea, so he invited me to a coffee shop and we were now sitting opposite each other, talking about anything that came to mind.

"Have you enjoyed staying with me?" Luke asked, out of the blue.

I nodded, "Of course I have." I said as if it was silly to even question it, "You've been lovely company."

Luke twiddled his thumbs for a moment, briefly opening his mouth to say something then refraining from doing so. After building up his courage he finely said, "Would you like to move in with me?"

In shock, I sat back in my seat.

Luke continued, "Sorry. I know its all of a sudden, I was just thinking... well I like being with you and, even bough I'm sure Leia does to, I think shes been seeing a guy and might want some space with him." He shrugged. I didn't want to hear any of that reasoning, the thought of any of that was sickening.

"Of course I will." I smiled, I knew it was all of a sudden, and completely mental but I really wanted to.

"Huh?" Luke asked, as if he couldn't remember the question he had asked. Soon enough he remembered, "You will?" He smiled.

"Only if I have Leia's blessing of course." I laughed.

"She'll be more than happy. She's been dying to bring that guy hack for months now, she didn't to he rude though." He explained.

As I laughed I tilted my head towards the window to see people. Lots of people. With cameras. My head snapped to Luke, "Who are they?" I asked.

Luke turned his head and then groaned. "Seriously? Now?" He asked himself. "Its reporters."

"You have paparazzi?" I asked. Paparazzi was something I associated with actors not tech companies CEO's. Though, I suppose he is quite a controversial one.

"Not paparazzi, reporters. Here take this." Luke pushed his jacket towards me.

My eyebrow cocked up as I took the jacket in my hands, "What's this for?"

"To cover your face so we can leave, I don't want to get you into any of this mess." He said.

Any of this mess. Such a simple statement that I'm sure he'd say for anyone but it was so endearing.

Luke lead me to the door with a covered face and we were out in the open. Camera clicks and the voices of a gaggle of people echoed through my ears. As Luke lead me through I heard a voice, "Anything to say on your fathers behaviour and all the employees."

It was a justified question, however the reporter who asked it was snide and condescending.

Luke responded in a monotone voice as to not give them anything too much, "Get a real job."

"At least I earn't mine." The reporter called back.

Luke halted in his tracks and his voice went hush, "Listen here, I earned my place at my fathers company just as much as anyone else. He just... went about it the wrong way."

And then I was pulled through the crowd, feeling myself being pushed and knocked everywhere, until I was back in the car. Luke began to drive and once we got a good enough distance away I took the jacket from my face.

Silence. Luke was tense. I was uncomfortable. What was I supposed to do? He was clearly angry, was he angry with me?

"Luke..." I began. "Why did you lie?" I asked. Luke knew he hadn't earned his place at the company, thats one thing he hated so much, so why would he lie about it?

Luke sighed, "I signed an NDA some years ago. I cant say anything about malpractice and corruption because it will ruin the companies reputation." His voice was bitter, "Well shit, I suppose I've just told you."

"Are you alright?" I asked.

Luke was gritting his teeth, not rising his eyes off the rode but looked like he was burning holes in it. "Fine." He spoke through his teeth.

I sunk down in my chair. Emotions were no ones thing, but if anyone was particularly bad at them... it was Luke.
