Din Djarin's point of view:

When we had gotten to the hospital, some doctors rushed Leia into a room and told us she just needed a few stitches and pain killers. For a brief moment, Luke was panicking until we sat down on the creaky waiting room chairs.

We sat in silence, an awkward, tense silence. Only a few minutes previously, Luke had been shouting at me and I had been shouting back. Now, we were sitting in silence wa siting for a doctor to tell us we could see his sister.

He spoke to me as if he was finish sing a conversation we had been having weeks ago, "I know what my father did was wrong." He had said. I lifted my head up to watch him as he stared out in front of him, never at me. "He fired all those people so I could become the CEO, so no one could get in my way. It was a nice gesture, executed awfully." He paused.

I suppose he wanted me to say something, but I didn't. So he continued, "That was always my dad, did good gestured always for the wrong reasons and in the wrong way. He was one of those Dad's who just tried." He sighed. "I suppose 'try' isn't the right word. He tried once and then gave up."

He now sat solemnly, I felt like he expected me to say something. I didn't have anything to say to him though, "That sucks" I said, i didn't really care about his sob story.

Luke hummed, as if that was the type of reaction he had expected from me. Now I just felt incredibly wrong so I continued to speak, "At least he's not dead." I shrugged.

Shit. I just made that far far worse.

I jumped turning to face him, "Sorry, that was an awful thing to say. My word im so so sorry." I apologised quickly and worriedly.

Luke chuckled, "I like how unfiltered you are Din." He put his hand on his chest in amusement, "You say anything to anyone, even me."

"Like-?" I briefly stopped myself and shook my head. "Doesn't matter." I tried to salvage the conversation for anything to change the subject to, "Well I don't view you as a crazy authority figure. Your richer than me, thats all."

Luke raised his eyebrows, "Okay, what do you have on me?" He asked sarcastically.

"Well," I thought, "Lets see, I'm : older, cooler, taller, probably stronger, hotter." This was a weird conversation, a completely sarcastic and satire conversation, just a weird person to be having this type of conversation with.

"Hotter, well I suppose I have to agree with that." Luke thought to himself and smirked.

Before I could give any reaction a doctor walked into the waiting room, "Are you here for Leia Skywalker?" He asked, looking down at his clipboard to check the name. We both nodded. "Ah good, shes not currently awake, but she's fine. You can go see her if you want, room sixteen." He smiled.

We both nodded and stood up. As we walked to the door the doctor rested a hand on my upper arm to stop me, "Sorry, only family aloud."

Luke turned back, "He is family." And scowled as he grabbed my arm and pulled me through.

Luke quickly let go, as we walked through the dimly lit corridors on our way to find Leia, "What was that?" I chuckled.

Luke folded his arms, "Just to make sure you could see Leia. Don't over think it." He ddint even look at me.

Oh but overthinking it, I was. Family? Nice thought.

When we reached room sixteen Luke rushed in and I quickly followed behind -seeing an asleep Leia with a few stitches on her fore head.

Luke went and kneeled down next to the bed and his breathing became frantic. "Oh I'm so sorry Leia. I feel awful. Im such an awful brother and it took you going to hospital for me to realise it. What if something bad had happened and all I've ever told you since childhood was to go away." His eyes were tearing up and his voice had gone shaky.

I tensed, "Do you want me to... leave?" I asked hesitantly, shuffling over to the door.

"Stay." He said sharply, looking up at me. Once he had realised his tone he said, "Please." Looking up with empathetic eyes.

He began to talk to a passed out Leia when I walked over and sat on one of the chairs. I watched Luke talk to Leia absent minded.

However, as I watched him actually care for someone and show human emotions it made me realise it was quite... attractive. In a sexual sense. I will never admit that though.

As Luke sat there flaking he began repeating, "Im so sorry Leia. Im so sorry."

Leia groaned and rubber her eyes, "Can you shut up? I've just woken up I don't want to hear you." She said. Clearly, after just waking up Leia had forgotten every single rule of manners and etiquette, and Luke's reaction was hilarious.

Luke quickly backed up going to sit on chair, accidentally sitting on my knees and then jumping up, throwing himself onto the other chair. He was in hysterics.

She pushed herself up, "Hey Din." She smiled.

"Hey." I dragged out. "Sorry about... well Grogu."

"Eh." She shrugged, "Its fine, you two seem... closer. So I suppose its a good thing. I'm more worried about the plate, that cant be sewn up."

Luke spluttered out words, "What do you mean, closer?" As if he seemed disgusted by the thought. I sat and watches their interactions in amusement.

"Well, you did just sit on his lap. And now you'd sitting next to each other and not ripping each other to pieces." She explained with a laugh.

"Sit-? I didn't meant to do that!" He sprung to his own defense.

Leia rolled her eyes, "Oh im sure you didn't." She spoke sarcastically.

"I didn't!" Luke's voice went all high pitched an squeaky.

Watching Leia tear him down and abrade him to a spluttering stuttering mess was honestly so humanising.
