School is and never will be more than a snoozefest. I sat the in the second row staring at the back of Angel's head as she talked about something with the teacher. You could tell the entire room was staring at the clock waiting for it to strike three. Just a couple more seconds...

"But that's my opinion sir." Angel finished twirling a strand of hair around her finger.

"Thank you for sharing that miss Richardson. Now for tonight's assignment I want all of you to-" He was interrupted by the sound of the last bell causing everyone to leap out of the seats and head out the door.

Angel grabbed my arm before I could leave and smiled asking for me to wait for her. I looked out of the doorway and saw my friends snickering and making a whipping sound. I rolled my eyes and obliged waiting for for her to finish putting everything away. We walked slowly through the crowded hallway to her locker.

"So you free tonight?" I asked as she put her books away and closed her locker.

"Bible study then homework then probably shower before bed." She replied sliding her small hand into mine.

I groaned as we made our way to my locker. Taped to the front was a piece of binder paper. I ripped it off and shoved it into my pocket much to Angel's dismay.

"It's Wednesday. Why would you go to church in the middle of the week?" I questioned shoving everything into my locker before shutting it.

"Being a good Christian doesn't have vacation days Andy." She said swinging our arms as we walked outside of the building.

I told myself not to roll my eyes. I saw Jade talking with her friends, one of them wearing a scarf in sunny weather. We walked over to where the buses were parked and I kissed her goodbye. I watched her walk up the steps and sit right in the middle by a window where she pulled out her textbook and started doing homework. Little did I know that I wasn't the only one watching her.

I walked to the football field where practice was going on. In the bleachers was a few girls watching their boyfriends protectively and Jade. She was picking at her nails not paying attention to the group of girls talking animatedly around her. I sat next to her and pulled out the note from my locker tossing it into her lap.

"I got your note. What'd you do?" I asked.

"I fed off of Jamie." She replied not looking up from her hands.

"Christ Jade... why? You know to come to me if you ever get hungry. Is she okay?"

She nodded and stared off at the football players. Eyes not blinking once. I but my tongue knowing better than than to press further. We sat there on the silence for a little while until we got a call from our mother asking us where we were. I lied and said we were at the library. I didn't want to tell her about Jade. Not yet.

At home we had pizza and am empty seat where my father used to be. Few minutes later I heard the car for slam and footsteps heading to the door. We heard the unlocking of the door and our mother tense up nails digging into the table. Soon our father was in view holding a bouquet of flowers and a bottle of wine. Classic dad. My dad had a more muscular frame and lighter hair. Behind that suit is a wolf. Except he can control his changes and his wolf.

My mother excused Jade and I not liking up from her slice of pizza. We both couldn't get upstairs fast enough. It wasn't long before the shouting fest began. Eventually it'll turn into hushed tones that I can hardly hear and what happens next is just gross. While they were distracted I decided to go for a run. I had one leg out the window when I saw Jade outside of hers. Upside down.

"Living up to the stereotype?" I joked.

She rolled her eyes and sat up her legs hooked inside of her room and the rest of her outside back facing the wind.

"Isn't it a little late to go see your girlfriend?" She asked.

"Just going out for a run. Angel is at bible study."

"It's Wednesday." She said as I jumped out of the window onto the lawn.
