ANDREW'S POV
"Hello Andrew." She said pointing the gun at me.
"Angel. What are you doing here?" I said trying to ignore the pain in my shoulder.
"I just thought I'd, ya know, pop on by and check on my favorite man." She smiled.
"Angel we broke up months ago. Now put the gun down before either of us gets hurt."
"Aw baby, I don't want to hurt you." She replied before shooting my left foot.
I screamed in pain seeing the blood spill out of my shoe. I looked up at her and growled menacingly at her.
"Oh wait, I lied!" She laughed hysterically and walked over, tilting her head at me.
"What do you want with me?" I hissed.
"I want you to help me take down Jade. Get even with her. She killed Damien and my sister. She's a feral animal and needs to be put down. Preferably six feet in the ground."
"Do you really think I'll help you kill my sister?" I laughed and stood up straight ignoring the searing pain in my foot. "You're insane!"
"I really wish you didn't say that." She said before pistol whipping me and knocking me out.
When I came to, Angel was standing in front of me wearing a white dress and her hair arranged in a way that made it look like flames in the light. I looked around and saw that we were in an empty church. To my left was a priest reading from a bible and in Angels' hands a bouquet of flowers. She had a big smile on her face as she waved around a small black remote. My hand went up to my neck where I felt a bulky collar pressing against my jugular.
"And do you Angel, take Andrew to be your lawfully beloved husband?" The priest said.
"I do! With all my heart." She giggled.
"And do you Andrew, take Angel to be your-"
Right then is when the front doors burst open revealing the very angry Jade. You could see the steam rising from her body as she stood there in the sunlight before she stomped down the aisle where there wasn't as much sunlight. The priest didn't waste any time in running away. Angel on the other hand was furious.
"Why! Must! You! Always! Ruin! EVERYTHING!" She screeched lunging herself at Jade.
They both toppled down from the altar, Angel's thumbs pressing into Jade's neck choking her and Jade clawing at her hands. I jumped off and pulled Angel away from Jade, tossing her aside and checked on Jade. That's when Angel pulled out the remote pressing a button causing a blast of electricity to shoot through my neck and down my spine. Jade heard my cry of pain and lept after Angel knocking the remote out of her hand causing it to skid across the floor.
"Andrew!" They both yelled, still clawing at each other's throats.
I looked between the remote and the two women and decided to go help them. I pulled them apart pushing them both aside, standing in front of Jade protectively. Angel got up from the ground brushing the dirt off of her dress and walked over calmly.
She then stood on her toes and whispered, "Goodbye Andrew." Plunging a silver knife into my chest then yanking it out letting the blood pour out of me.
JADE'S POV
As soon as I heard Angel whisper into Andrew's ear I knew what was going to happen, but I didn't act fast enough. I heard the blade go into his chest then come back out. I felt Andrew's body go slack and Angel walk away tossing the knife across the room.
I helped Andrew lay down onto his back and tore apart his shirt to try and stop the bleeding, but it wouldn't stop. Andrew coughed a couple flecks of blood, they landed on my face.
"Don't do this to me Andrew." I begged.
He reached a hand up cupping my cheek using his thumb to stoke it gently.
"I'm sorry for not protecting you better." He said weakly.
"Andrew just hold on, I swear if you die on me I'll bring you back and kill you myself." I pleaded, close to tears.
"Jade, I'm fine. I'm just going to take a little nap." He said smiling and closing his eyes.
I felt his heartbeat get less and less until it stopped all together and he let out his final breath. I sat there blood covering my clothes not sure what to do. I heard footsteps and someone yelling, but they sounded far away. Soon the police came in hauling me away from Andrew.
I didn't even resist or say anything when they put his body into a large black bag and hauled him into a van. I was read my rights and put into the back of a police cruiser. My brain kept telling me to run after the van and tell them it was a mistake. That he wasn't dead, he was sleeping. I wanted to tell the cops that the real killer was out there, but the words wouldn't form.
Once at the station I was fingerprinted, had my picture taken, then put in a room where I was questioned until they put me in a cell because I didn't say anything. I felt numb. All I could think of is Andrew dying in my hands and not doing anything to prevent it from happening. So I sat there in this metal cage with a few other people. I felt like I belonged here, locked up like the criminal I am. Angel had won, she got her revenge.
