ANDREW
"When are you going to get a car?" Patrick asked.
"When I get my license." I replied taking a bite of my sandwich.
"Well... when are you going to get your license then?" He pestered.
"When I feel like it." I said mouthful of food.
Patrick rolled his eyes eating his cafeteria pizza. Patrick knew that without Angel I didn't have a ride anywhere because Jade and I couldn't drive due to some personal mortality reasons. It's barely been 48 hours and already he was tired of having to pick me up in the morning to take me to school.
"Get a buss pass. Call an Uber or cab. Have your mom drive you to get your license for goodness sake!" He argued.
I shook my eyes balling up the tin foil and batting it between my two hands. Eventually Brittany and Charlie came over to join us starting a whole new conversation. Brittney and Charlie have been on again and off again since the beginning of time. Never seen them with anyone else which was crazy, but they were crazy for eachother. Today's argument between them was over Charlie not wanting to go to the upcoming school dance. The winter formal. It's like prom but cheaper and held in the gym with cheaper decorations and food.
"Babe we HAVE to go. I already promised the girls." She pouted.
"Brittney I love you, but I hate having to wear a tux. Plus it's just a stupid dance." He said causing her to gasp and stand up.
"Take that back!" She screeched.
When he didn't she sniffed and stormed off out of the cafeteria a group of girls following her. I looked over at Charlie who merely shrugged and got settled at our table.
"Andrew is still refusing to get his license." Patrick started making me groan and throw my tin foil ball at his head.
"Andrew I'm going to take you to get your license this weekend." Charlie said picking up the ball.
"Charles you shouldn't worry about me driving. You should be more worried about Brittany." I said.
He shrugged and said, "Brittney will be Brittney. She'll get over it."
"And if she doesn't?" Patrick asked.
Charlie sat there thinking for a little bit before sighing and getting up saying he needed to get something before going back to class. Once he was gone Patrick wasted no time and started bugging me about getting my license.
After school I saw Jade supporting her new crutches bandage around her ankle still. Her and I both knew she didn't need it anymore, but she had to keep up appearances. What was new is the guy that was with her and her friends. Jade seemed to be the only one not holding onto his every word. The guy was good looking I'll give him that, but I doubt he goes to this school. I walked over to join them hoping to introduce myself.
"Ladies and..." I said staring at this blonde stranger.
"Gentleman, but you can call me Damien." He said holding out a hand before dropping it when he saw I wasn't going to shake it.
"So... Alexandra when's the baby due? Figure out a name yet? I think Andrew would be a perfect name." I said.
"SHE'S dude in a few months. And I'm thinking about Skylar right now. Sky for short." She said holding her stomach.
"Well I for one think Sky is a beautiful name for a baby girl. Is the dad involved?" Damien asked.
Kiss ass.
"He's umm..." Alexandra started.
"He's Jade's boss and no. He doesn't know. She doesn't want him to know and cause problems." Jamie said jumping in.
"You have a boss?" He asked towards Jade.
"Don't act so surprised. I work at the ice cream parlor on Fifth Avenue." She said leaning on my shoulder to itch her bandaged foot.
"What the ice cream shop owner? He can't have horny problems! He's innocent! He's just an ice cream shop owner." He exclaimed making me roll my eyes.
"Yeah it just happened. It's not like I'll never tell him, but for right now it's better if he doesn't know. I don't want him to think He's obligated to take care of her." Alexandra said.
"You're a strong woman Alexandra. I like that about you." He said making her smile.
"Alright well wonder woman and I have to go now. She has to be at the doctors in an hour. I'll see you guys tomorrow, nice meeting you Damien." Jamie said leading Alexandra away from the group.
"So. Damien. I've never seen you around here before you new?" I asked once they were gone.
"Not really. I've been here for a while now. I'm Angel's half brother." He said.
"Funny she never mentioned a brother, yet we dated for nearly six months." I said getting suspicious.
"Well why does anyone hide a half sibling?" Jade said jumping in.
"When they're trying to hide something." I growled taking a step towards him.
Jade stepped between us and hissed, "Down Fido." She turned towards Damien softening a little. "We should go." She said grabbing my hand and dragging me away from the school.
