ANDREW'S POV

Days have gone by and no sign of Jade, Angel, or even Damien. The school was buzzing with excitement anticipating the end of the year and beginning of the new year. Without Jade around Jamie and Alexandra found different groups to hang out with. Jamie started hanging around with the hipster crowd and Alexandra spent most of her time in the library on her own.

Occasionally we'd bump into each other in the hallways between classes, but no one knew what to say. They lost a friend and I lost a sister. My mom was probably the strongest one out of the both of us. Handling a divorce and trying to find her lost daughter. Every night her and I would drive around hitting up her usual hang outs hoping to find some sign of her. My mom even started reading different newspapers in hope that wherever she is, jade wasn't leaving a bloody trail.

I kept on the lookout for Angel too. Where loving affection once used to be is now hatred. Everything was fine until she showed up and messed up everything. I keep thinking I see a wisp of her red hair or hear her laughter in the wind. At night I think of what to say if I was to see her or Damien again. I knew the guy was off, but I didn't think he'd be a killer.

I was on my way home when I saw him. Damien. He was leaving a hardware store, plastic bag full of items like rope, duct tape and a nail gun? As he was walking towards what I'm assuming his car he turned his head and saw me. He dropped his bag and made a run for it. So I chased after him.

Legs pumping and backpack hitting my back I focused only on him. His first mistake was looking behind him frequently causing him to nearly run into an elderly couple. Running past them he ran in between a couple of old buildings. I pushed myself to run faster until I finally had him cornered. That was his second mistake. I growled and stalked forward as Damien held both of his hands up in surrender.

"Hey buddy... how's it going?" He asked nervously.

"Where is she?" I growled hearing him gulp loudly.

Before he could answer I was knocked to the ground face first. I felt blood trickle down my temple and Damien voice from far away. Then... Jade's?

"Now you show up?" He asked.

"Shut up. Wait. Is that... Andrew?!" She exclaimed racing over.

She rolled me over my head in her lap as she looked down at me. She cut her hair short and she had brown contacts on, but the scent was still the same.

"Jade...?" Was all I made out before passing out.

I woke up some time later in the back seat of a car. I looked down and saw my hands and feet bound with duct tape and rope. I groaned sitting up and Jade whipped around to face me. She had taken the contacts out so I could see the blue eyes we share.

"Sorry for knocking you out. And for tying you up. Didn't want you to start another fight in a moving car." She said.

"Where the hell were you? You know mom and dad are getting a divorce?" I yelled frustrated.

She nodded and said, "I do. And I'm sorry for not being there, but I've been trying to find Angel. If that's even her real name."

"So where have you been? How long have you been here?" I spat.

"Around and not long. This was supposed to be a pit stop before we leave again."

"WE? You're leaving with this nut job?"

"Put a muzzle on your pooch Jade or I will." Damien said coldly.

"Bite me." I said glaring at the back of his neck.

"I will muzzle you both if you don't stop arguing." Jade snapped.

So we drove on until we were at Angel's house. Jade and Damien got out of the car, but Jade came back to cut me loose and motioned for me to follow. I followed them both to the house watching Damien pick the front door lock and Jade keeping watch.

"Why are we breaking into her house in broad daylight?" I asked.

"Because this is where we would meet up. By the way Andrew, I now know why you kiss like a dog." Damien replied before pushing the door open.

He poked his head in then half of his body before sliding the rest of the way in. Jade followed shortly behind and so did I. Damien went to check out the downstairs area and Jade went upstairs. I took the time to fully take in the house. No furniture whatsoever. Some cardboard boxes and canned food laid around, but nothing that showed a family lived here. On one wall it was filled with picture frames with the stock photos in it still.

In the distance I started to hear sirens and saw Jade running down the steps holding a pink childish diary. Damien came out of the kitchen and saw the diary before glaring at me.

"Did you call the cops?" He asked.

"Yes. I called to report us breaking and entering into my ex girlfriends house." I said sarcastically.

"We have to split up." Jade said looking around as the sound of sirens got louder.

Damien nodded and the two of them split up. Damien went upstairs and Jade went into the kitchen. I followed her as she was climbing out the window. I was about to follow when she shut the window suddenly.

"I'm sorry Andrew." She said before bolting off.

I stood there watching her go Damien catching up to her. Part of me wanted to follow her and not lose her again, but I knew I couldn't. God knows that my mother had enough heartbreak.

"Freeze police!" They yelled breaking open the door.

The rest felt like it happened in slow motion. Hands pulled behind my back and the metal cuffs digging into my wrists. My rights were read and I was lead out the front door into the back of a cruiser.
