Shivanya's pov
After Ansh left, I sat in the living room, pondering over his unusual behavior. I knew he must be upset about everything that had happened to me, but it wasn't my fault.
I hadn't asked Reena to bully and insult me in front of the whole campus. Her words were so humiliating that I wished the earth would swallow me up.
I was still puzzled about why Ansh sounded so upset. Did he think it was my fault? No, I shouldn't think like that. We had both discussed this; I shouldn't overthink it and should wait for Ansh to return so we could talk.
To distract myself, I grabbed a few snacks and switched on the TV to watch some movies.
________________Next morning, I woke up to find myself snuggled up against a warm body. Opening my eyes, I saw it was Ansh. I smiled slightly, seeing him sleeping with his mouth open.
He looked so cute while sleeping, but when had he arrived? What time was it? Glancing around, I spotted the wall clock-it was 8 in the morning.
God! I had slept for so long. I didn't even know when Ansh had come and carried me upstairs. I untangled myself from his hold to freshen up.
Coming out, I was drying my hair with a towel when I saw him sitting, leaning against the headboard, engrossed in his phone.
Suddenly, an idea struck me, and I smiled mischievously. Taking slow steps towards him, I flipped a few wet hair strands onto his face. The water droplets fell on him, and he looked at me.
He wiped his face. One second I was standing before him, and the next second, I was pulled onto his lap.
"What?" I stuttered out.
"Aren't you getting a little naughty?" He asked huskily, his deep voice sending shivers down my spine.
"You don't like it?" I asked, trying to be bold, as I placed my hand around his neck.
"I love it." I looked into his intense gaze for a moment before lowering my eyes in shyness.
"Now, there's my shy biwi back," he said teasingly.
I looked at his face with a pout. He pecked it and gave me an innocent look.
"Let me go ansh , I need to get ready. I have college." I said and wiggled in his lap.
"Who wanted to be mischievous early in the morning , hmm ?" He asked , nuzzling in the crook of my neck.
"Ansh !!" I whinned cutely. He smiled before letting me go.
"You're not going to college today. Wait here for me; I need to have an important talk with you," he said before disappearing into the closet, probably to take a shower.
I sat on the bed, wondering what he wanted to talk about now. Was he going to scold me? Or, worse, was he going to stop me from studying further? No, he wouldn't do that. I should trust him.
Some time later, he emerged from the closet dressed in casuals. Sitting before me, he took my hands in his, his touch gentle yet firm.
"Anya, I want you to tell me this truthfully."
"What is it, Ansh?"
"Do you trust me?"
"Why are you asking this, Ansh? I always trust you more than myself."
"No, you don't. If you did, you would've told me about your bullying. You started college three months ago, and that girl has been bullying you from the beginning. Didn't you ever feel like you should tell me about it?" I looked at his face.
