Shivanya's pov

It took me nearly 3 hours to get ready. I had heard it takes long to complete the bridal look but today i experienced it too.

The beauticians left after complementing me. I had got ready at the marriage venue itself because to move place in the bridal wear would've been hectic.

I was in the room alone scrolling through reels when I heard the sound of dhols , the baratis have arrived. I smiled to myself thinking ansh would be here too looking handsome.

I tried to peek in from window but the window in my room didn't give me any view of the baratis. I dejected sat on the bed waiting for someone to call me for jaimala ( Garland are exchanged in this ceremony by the groom and bride).

I was getting bored sitting downstairs alone. Finally , Arjun came to my rescue.

"Thank god ! Atleast you came."

"What happened?"

"I have been ready for the past 1 hour and this family of mine is still getting ready."

"Oho !! Are you desperate to see your bride ?"

"Desperate and me ? What a joke. I was just worried the auspicious time will pass away."

"There is still time for it."

After sometime, finally we left for the venue. The venue is close by so we opted for the horse. I was getting really bored seeing the baratis were moving too slow.

An hour later or so we reached the venue. The venue is 30 minutes away from home but the baratis took such a long time.

I got down the horse with help of Arjun. Maa was standing at the entrance.

I was told to hit a Toran (a particular decoration done at the entrance) with my sword symbolising the warding off of evil and acceptance of the welcome to my Sasural with God's grace. Then maa applied tilak on me and performs Aarti.

The baratis are warmly welcomed inside. I am escorted towards the stage where jaimala would take place.

After sometime there is a sound of dhols and music. My beautiful bride is coming towards the stage with a red cloth over her head held by her male cousins on each side. Arjun had volunteered to held one side as she had less male cousins.

She was looking royal in the maroon lehenga, I felt as if my breath was taken away. As her eyes met mine she blushed and looked down.
