Shivanya's pov

I am going to become a mom again, I get to feel this feeling all over again. I am so happy, actually elated after hearing the news of my pregnancy from the doctor yesterday.

Ansh and I are, currently on the way to the hospital for my appointment. We dropped shivansh at his school first. We were going to meet our old doctor for this pregnancy too.

We sat in the waiting room, waiting for our turn. A few minutes later, nurse called out our names. We followed her to the doctor's cabin.

"Oh! Mr. And Mrs. Rathore. Nice to meet you again, so second time pregnant?" She spoke in her cheerful voice. I nodded shyly. We took our seats.

"Well, to be more clear, did you have any pregnancy symptoms?"

"I actually didn't pay any attention to it. Since, last week I have been experiencing weakness and dizziness. I thought it might be due to weather change or something."

"Okay, that's quite common. What about your monthly cycle?"

Now, thinking about it, I didn't have periods for last month nor before that , how could I ignore such a big sign? It's really unusual for me, as I was always regular.

"I missed my periods last month and before that as well. I thought it must be due to work stress. "

"That's actually common, most of the ladies having irregular periods forget to track their periods but that's okay." The doctor spoke.

"But I have always been regular. Also, my husband keeps track of it." I said, the last part looking at him.

"It happens Mrs. Rathore, no worries. We will do a full checkup for your assurance." I nodded.

"Well, you both might know the do's and don'ts during this pregnancy period. So, I would not repeat it to bore you out. We can straight away go and do the tests?"

"Sure doctor." I stood up and followed her. After the procedure, I came back and sat beside him.

"Report will be out soon. You can wait or we can deliver it to your place."

"We will be waiting."

"Any queries?"

"Not yet but doctor is this pregnancy going to be hard or something?"

"Can't predict it Mr. Rathore."

"Okay." We stood up and left her cabin.

After my reports came out positive, I was beaming with joy. I knew I was pregnant but it was not yet confirmed. Right now, I am so happy.

"You are 8 weeks long. Congratulations, Mr and Mrs. Rathore." The doctor said, looking up after reading my reports.

"Oh! It means we can do the ultrasound, today?" I asked, excited.

"Yes."

"8 weeks means 2 months long, i am worried about it. Didn't we realise it too late, is it like safe?"

"Well, it's really not uncommon for women with irregular periods to realise pregnancy late. Also, we can do the ultrasound and full body checkup of her to know about the mother and baby's health."

"Her periods have been regular but."

"See, I guess you all were engrossed in your work and everything that you forgot to keep track of it. It's not too uncommon. We will take care and proper precautions, also the pregnancy is safe."

"Okay then." He nodded, finally satisfied.

"We would be able to hear the heartbeats of the baby today, right?" I asked. The doctor nodded.
