At first I was extremely terrified going into the blue rose. I didn't know if it was safe or not. Why did you go in there then? You ask. Well it's safer then the hell at my house.
"So, do you like books Elizabeth?" Derek asked. "I LOVE books. That's really all I do now is read." "Why is that?" Derek asked curiously. "Well, it's the only thing my father actually approves of. Everything else is just....horror for him." "Oh."
I could tell that there where questions stirring up in his mind. But he was to afraid to ask. As we walk through the dark bookstore I start to look at the types of books. They have a very good selection. Withering heights, the count of monte cristo, of war and peace, classics like that. A special book caught my eye though. It was called "The judged and the judgers".
"Hey Derek." I called in a quiet voice. "Yes Elizabeth?" "You can just call me Liz. Um... What is this book about?" I picked up the book and showed it to him. Derek took the book out of my hands and started to examine it. "Just read the back. I can't really explain it as good as that." I took the book back and started to read the back of it.
"It all started with a simple fight. The pain. The torture......the lost. You never know what's important to you until you loose it. Or that person. Eric was deeply in love with his girlfriend Sandy. Until one day they had a fight. A fight that would change there life's forever."
When I finished the back of the book, I turned around to see Derek gone. I didn't know where he went. So I started to search. I looked everywhere. The isles, the back room. I finally gave up and leaned against the wall. I started to think about what's going to happen when I go back home. If i go back home. I have no friends, no family members in the state that like or care about me. What I'm I going to do?
"Liz, I thought I would bring you some food." Derek came over to me with a ham sandwich. "Where did you get that?" I asked confused. "Oh, there's a cafe through that door over there." He pointed to a door with a sign that said the blue rose cafe. How original i thought. I also thought how in the world did I miss that door! It's right there! "I did not see that. Thank you for the sandwich, but I shall leaving now. Nice to meet you, and goodbye."
As I started to walk out he grabbed my arm. "Wait, where are you going.....home?" "Um......no.....I'm going..........uh." "Why don't you stay here? There's a a blanket, mattress, and pillows in the back." "Wait. Why do you have a mattress in the back room? It's a back room." "Well sometimes I like to stay here to think." I thought about it for a second.....there is no bad side to this. That I can see any way. "Sure ill stay." "It's all ready for you already, and ill see you in the morning. Good night Liz." "Good night Derek, thank you." He walked out.
This is the weirdest thing that has ever happened to me. It's great I love it!!!
