I woke up to a phone ringing.
"Make it shut up." I said and saw Dean lean into the car to search through the glove compartment.
He finally found the phone but he smacked his head on the roof of the car when he tried to lean back out. I burst out laughing. He glared at me
"Isn't that Dad's phone?" Sam asked.
Dean flipped the phone open, pressed a button, and put it to his ear.
"Hello?" Dean said. I yawned and cracked every bone in my body. Sleeping in a car was not easy. I got out of the car only to have Dean stare at me with the most confused look ever.
"What?" I asked. He didn't answer. "What!"
We made it to a cafe. We all got out of the car.
"Dean, look, best I can tell, Adam Milligan is real." Sam said. Dean went straight for the weapons box. "Um, born September twenty-ninth, 1990 to Kate Milligan. No father listed on the birth certificate. He's an Eagle Scout."
Dean pulled assorted weapons out of the trunk, including Ruby's knife.
"Graduated from high school with honors and currently goes to the University of Wisconsin-biology major, pre-med." Sam continued on. Dean closed the weapons box. "Dean? You listening?"
"This is a trap." Dean said.
"Really?" I asked sarcastically. Dean closed the trunk and headed past us and into the cafe.
We walked into the cafe. Dean spotted an empty table with four chairs. We sat down.
Sam sat down and I sat across from him. Dean sat next to Sam.
Sam pulled out John's journal. "Dean, I'm telling you, the kid checks out."
"Great, so he's an actual person on the planet Earth. Sucks he's got a demon in him." Dean said.
A waitress walked up to us and handed us glasses of water. "Hi. Welcome to Cousin Oliver's."
"Thanks." Sam said.
"Can I-" she started but got cut off by Dean.
"We're actually waiting on somebody."
She got annoyed and slammed down menus in front of us.
"Thank you-" I said, apologetically.
Dean grabbed Adams' glass and poured it out.
"What are you-" Sam asked.
He put it between his knees and pulled out a flask.
"Holy water?" I asked.
"Yup. One sip of Jesus juice, this evil bitch is gonna be in a world of hurt." Dean said.
Our waitress walked past. When she was out of sight, Dean put the water back.
"And what if he's not possessed?" Sam asked.
"Then he is a shapeshifter." Dean said. He took Adams' silverware and replaced it with pure silver silverware.
"Hence the silver." I said.
"Look, either way, this thing is gonna bleed. I mean, using Dad as bait? That's the last mistake of its short, pitiful life." Dean said. Sam frowned and Dean looked over at him. "What?" Sam looked away. "What?"
"Dean...listen. There's an entry in Dad's journal." Sam said and flipped through the journal. "From January of 1990, saying he's headed to Minnesota to check out a case. That's, roughly, oh, about nine months before the kid was born."
