We made it back to Bobby's. He took care of our faces.
Dean was staring off out the window.
"Dean? Dean! You listen to a word I said?" Bobby called out to him. I was leaning on Bobby's desk while Bobby was behind Dean.
"Yeah, I heard you. I'm not calling him." he said.
"Don't make me get my gun, boy." Bobby said.
Dean turned to face him. "We are damn near kickoff for Armageddon, don't you think we got bigger fish at the moment?"
"I know you're pissed. And I'm not making apologies for what he's done, but he's your–" Bobby said.
"Blood? He's my blood, is that what you were gonna say?" Dean cut him off.
"He's your brother. And he's drowning." Bobby said.
"Bobby, I tried to help him, I did. Look what happened. He hurt me. He used his powers on Ali, his best friend, and then hurt her."
"So try again." Bobby said.
"It's too late." Dean said.
"There's no such thing." Bobby said.
"No, damnit!" Dean said, angry and I jumped. "No. I gotta face the facts. Sam never wanted part of this family. He hated this life growing up. Ran away to Stanford first chance he got. Now it's like déjà vu all over again." he said and sat down. "Well, I am sick and tired of chasing him. Screw him, he can do what he wants."
"You don't mean that." Bobby said.
"Yes I do, Bobby. Sam's gone. He's gone. I'm not even sure if he's still my brother anymore. If he ever was." Dean said.
Bobby turned and leaned against the table, fuming. After a moment, he made a big angry sweep on the desk, tossing the books and papers to the ground. I jumped away from the desk. Bobby walked towards Dean.
"You stupid, stupid son of a bitch! Well, boo hoo, I am so sorry your feelings are hurt, princess! Are you under the impression that family's supposed to make you feel good?! Bake you an apple pie, maybe? They're supposed to make you miserable! That's why they're family!" Bobby yelled.
"I told him, 'you walk out that door, don't come back' and he walked out anyway! That was his choice!" Dean yelled back.
"You sound like a whiny brat. No, you sound like your dad. Well, let me tell you something. Your dad was a coward." Bobby said.
"My dad was a lot of things, Bobby, but a coward?" Dean asked.
"He'd rather push Sam away than reach out to him. Well, that don't strike me as brave. You are a better man than your daddy ever was. So you do both of us a favor. Don't be him." Bobby said.
"Quit it!" I yelled. Dean turned around to look out the window.
I stared at the ground. When I looked back up, I was in a completely different room. Dean was here but Bobby was not.
It was a large, lavish, white room. The walls were painted white with gold trim and accents, and a marble table stood in the center. Cas was there.
"Hello, Dean. It's almost time." Cas said.
"What is she doing here?" Dean asked.
"I'd like to know that too, since I didn't bend down and kiss your angelic ass." I said.
"I once told you, if we needed to take you, we would." Cas said. I glared at him.
He disappeared.
"I promise they didn't say anything about you." Dean said.
