The interrogation

I woke up to the birds chirping and the sun shining through my window. When I tried to get out of bed, something was stopping me. I turn around and find Nick sleeping peacefully with his arms around me.

I just layed there watching him sleep. His breathing low, and even. I kissed him softly on the lips and looked at him as he started to stir in his sleep. I kissed him again , then sent butterfly kisses all over his face. He opened his eyes and smiled.

Nick- "hey" he said and blinked his few eyes a few times to get the blur vision out of his eyes.

Kendra- "Hey." I moved in to kiss him again but longer. When I pulled back he was smiling.

Nick- "Thats a nice way to wake up."

Kendra- "Yeah I know." I kissed him again and we stayed in bed the whole morning.

While we were enjoying each others company, Nick'a phone vibrated on the bed side table. I got up to let him get it.

Nick- "hello"..... "Yea" ... "Whoa".. "Hey!!" .. "Long time no talk and see!"... "Really?".. "Oh ok." .. "We're going to have to meet up soon "... "Where are you?" ... "Who did you hear this from?" .. "Does everyone know?"... "Ok whatever.." "Bye".

He hung up the phone and plopped back on the bed.

Kendra- "everything okay?"

Nick- "yea. That was just my cousin Giana." I nodded.

Nick- "now come here" he said pulling me down to the bed.

I played with his fingers and his purity ring as we layed there in a comfortable silence. Nick broke the silence first.

Nick- "Kendra?.." He said hesitantly.

Kendra- "yes, nick?"

Nick- "will you go out on a date with me tonight?" He asked me.

I looked up to look at him. He looked nervous as he waited for me to answer . I turned my body towards him, still in his arms and replied.

Kendra- "awww, sure! I'd love to!" I pecked his cheek. He smiled. "Where are we going so I can know what to wear?" I asked playing absentmindedly with his dog tag. Being in his arms for hours is something that I would love to do 24/7.

Nick- ".. Hmmm. It's a surprise. Just wear something nice." A smirk played at the corner of his lips. I knew his version of nice. My eyes widened at the sound of his expression. Suddenly, I got excited.

I squealed. Feeling enthusiastic about our date tonight. I never really go on dates much because nicks always not in Chicago or we just wanted to stay in bed. So dates are a big deal for me.

I got up and ran towards the bathroom.

Nick- "where are you going?" Stopping me mid-step. Looking over my shoulder, I replied.

Kendra- "to get ready for the date, duh!"

Nick- "but baby, the date is tonight . It's only 1 o'clock. Now come back to bed with me." He was gesturing for me to come to the bed.

Kendra- "no, if you want me to look good for this date then I need to go shopping. I don't look this hot just by coincidence." I said in a seductive tone, winking and blowing a kiss to him while looking over my shoulder. I walked into the bathroom, only seeing nick let out an amused sigh. Yeah.. I couldn't wait to go shopping for tonight!

I was standing in the mirror giving myself another look before Nick would arrive to take me on the date.

I had went to the mall and bought me a dress and shoes. The dress hugged my body and curves nicely and stopped mid-thigh. It was a red dress that looked perfect for anything. When I spotted it , I knew it was the one. I had on black stilettos with red on the bottom. My hair was in loose curls and I had smokey eyeshadow.

Trying to see the look in every direction, the door bell rung. I grabbed my purse and put all the necessities for tonight in it while making my way down stairs. While I'm about to open the door when I hear someone in the kitchen.

Kendra- "Ma....is that you?" I asked walking slowly to the kitchen.

Ma- "yeah." I peek in the kitchen.

Kendra- "oh, hey"

Ma- "hey honey." She looked me over making me smile. " and where are you going?"

Kendra- "out on a date!!" I squealed doing a little dance.

Ma- "oh congratulations!" The door bell rings again.

Kendra- "oh I have to go." I said rushing to the door and her following behind.

Ma- "well, I wanna meet this boy" I smile to myself knowing that she knows nothing about my life.

I opened the door to find Nick in a black buttoned up shirt, khakis, his curls with a slight shine to it, and a jacket.

Nick- "you look beautiful."

Kendra- "thanks" I said giving him a flirty smile. I couldn't do anything but stare. My eyes went from his legs to his face. Oh my god... Say something, I thought.. But someone else spoke.

Ma cleared her throat obviously seeing my eyes roaming over his body . I turn look to her then i look at nick and see him staring at my body too. A smirk played on my face. Ha. I told him its not by coincidence.

Ma- "hello." She stretched her hand to his.

Kendra- "Ma this is Nick, Nick this is my grandma."

Nick- "hello. " she shakes her hand firmly.

Ma- "very nice to meet you. How long have you known kendra?"

Nick- "a few months"

Ma- "ahh... You look awfully familiar."

Nick looked at her confused because he's obviously never met her before.

Ma- "ooh I know. You look like one of the boys that use to be on Kendra's walls... You look very similar to them." Nick chuckled.

Nick- "on her wall, huh?" i blushed. well this is embarrassing."what were they called?" He asked already knowing the answer.

Ma- " ummm...... I'm not sure. Kendra help me out here." She said snapping her fingers trying to recall the name. I was slightly blushing. Nick never knew I had photos of him on my wall..

Ma- "oh yeah. The jonas brothers!" Nick laughed.

Nick- "well , what do ya know .. But actually I am one of them."

Ma- "really?... Well then. How old r you?"

Nick- "18"

Ma- "where r your parents?"

Nick- "new jersey"

Ma- "where r you staying?"

Nick- "hotel"

Ma- "what do you do?"

Nick-"I'm a musician."

Ma- "are you a virgin?"

My eyes got big and I knew I had to step in.

Kendra- "woah ok. Enough of the interrogation. We gotta go. Bye ma." I gave her a kiss on the cheek and I pushed nick out of the door.

Nick laughed.

Kendra- "what! That is so not funny!" I hit him playfully on the arm as we walk to the car.

Nick- "that was funny and you know it. I felt like a criminal or something. I was kind of scared." He opened the door for me and I let out a little laugh. Nick hurried to the drivers side.

Nick- "well, at least she cares." He reassured me and he started up the car.
