The ringing could be heard through the bedsroom as Hailey didn't want to bother opening her eyes. She knew if that thing was going off, it was really early in the morning - and her body wasn't having any of it. Why did she really think going to Molly's for a couple drinks to forget the day was a good idea once again? What really gave her that idea?

However, against every part of her being, she reaches over, smacking the top so that way it did not allow her headache to grow. Headache - great - another reason she should not have gone out last night. What was she thinking last night?

She then slowly sits up, almost debating reaching for her phone and sending a text message to Hank that she needed to take the day off because she wasn't feeling well. That happened sometimes, right? Besides, it'd be more fun than looking at paperwork all day. That was just going to remind her of everything that happened, all the pieces that went wrong. Did she really want to suffer through that today?

Though her hands never reached for her phone as she instead began to rub the sleepiness out of her eyes. It was then she noticed the individual lying beside her in the bed, sprawled out with everything on display, including a cock that she caused her tongue to run across her lips.

"I have to get ready for work," she tells herself, knowing any reach in his direction would certainly cause a delay in that regard. She'd definitely be sending that text to Hank as she wouldn't want to get rid of the man before her.

That was when she froze immediately, taking a look at him with a double take, before looking down at herself. There was not one single drop of clothes on any body part of hers. Everything was bare to see as she sat up in the bed that morning.

What happened last night? What happened once they came back from Molly's? Did they end up having sex together?

She wasn't about to process her thoughts alone much longer, instead seeing a pair of peering eyes staring back at her in return. Alex then sat up quickly in the bed himself, looking at her from head to toe, before glancing back at himself.

There was no way this had happened. This was his best friend's ex-wife that he was laying next to naked. Did this really happen?

"Did we have sex last night?" He bluntly asks the question, though almost wanted to bite his tongue immediately afterwards. He probably didn't want to know the answer to that question considering it was pretty obvious given how they looked at each other right now.

"You are naked, I am naked - what do you think happened, Alex?" She questions in response with a sigh as she runs her fingers through her hair.

This was Alex Bowman beside her.

She had only seen him once before last night at Molly's when she ended up at the dirt track with Jay and Erin to watch him. She spent a night at his house, only to want to escape immediately due to needing space from Jay.

So they crossed paths for a second time, and wound up having sex together? That certainly was not the look she wanted to be passing off to him, of all people. Just imagine if he told his friends about what happened. Even worse, what if he told Jay what happened?

However, she couldn't help but have a sly smile on her face as the memories of the night before started to come to her. She remembered crossing paths with him at the bar. She remembered the conversation they shared back and forth, and how easily it had been to talk to him about everything. There was a certain understanding she hadn't felt in a long time.

She just shook her head in realizing that probably led to her welcoming him back to her condo for some more time together, and a bit of kindling in the sheets it may seem.

"For the record, if that's what happened, I don't have any regrets," he comments, causing her to look at him shocked. Truth be told, he was surprised the words had slipped from his mouth. He was never this open with anyone, always trying to hide. Every part of him was saying get up, get dressed quickly and get out of there immediately. But where were his clothes, anyway? "If the sex was as good as the conversation at Molly's, then it was worth it. I'm not upset about it happening. I just hate that I don't remember any of it. If you're upset or angry, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you...."

Alex then slowly gets out of the bed, almost grabbing the sheet to cover his naked body as he does so. However, he forewent doing that in not wanting to cause a bigger mess in her condo on top of the confusion they were feeling. Besides, she had seen him naked already so he had nothing to hide.

"I'll find my clothes and see my way out," he tells her quietly before picking up his underwear, having noticed it immediately. It was that point he could see the trail that led from the living room to the bedroom with each of their clothes scattered along the way.

Clearly it had begun on the couch. It was probably more of that sweet conversation. They had probably shared confessions, turning into a kiss and both of them diving in for much more. With not having had anything with anyone lately, instincts and wants probably outweighed reason thanks to the influence of the alcohol and here they were now.

"You didn't hurt me, Alex," Hailey comments as she watches him get dressed, finding herself admiring every inch of those slender, toned arms. If only she could feel those wrapped around her body - she wondered just how they felt the night before. "I don't have a single regret about what happened."
