Alex sat on the bench, trying to focus on taking deep breathes. But yet he could not help but feel each breath coming quicker than the last as his left leg began to tap. He kept his focused on the desk sergeant, so many different thoughts flooding through his mind, both good and bad, as he watched her pick up the phone.

Trudy does not take her eyes off of him, trying to read every emotion written on his face as she debates the words to use for Hailey. She could make it obvious, spoil the surprise - but yet he had told her it was a surprise for a reason. Now was she about to help him make it better, or perhaps have some fun with this to both of their extents?

"You have a visitor here," Trudy simply states, as Alex watches her, still trying to focus solely on taking those deep breathes. Why was it becoming harder? Why was he so nervous right now? He should be excited because this probably meant he'd be back in familiar arms real soon.

"Does it pertain the current case?" Hailey questions, as Trudy does not allow her eyes to leave Alex. Perhaps she could lie, and say it did to get her to come down here easily. Then let the shock be at the fact she had lied and Alex was there. But she had not lied to her since she was seven-years-old, that day she walked in on the robbery. She was not about to risk breaking the unbreakable bond they had and do so now.

"It does not." Alex could not but feel a bit of confusion in hearing the comment made. It did not sound like there was a lot of happiness or optimism behind it. Maybe he would have better to go back to her condo, wait outside with eagerness until she got off work. Of course, that may result in a call from her building superior that someone was stalking her place. He knew when it came to the Intelligence - they did not mess around if they felt one of their own was threatened. He had learned that while kidnapped with Jay before. Did he want to risk being on the other side of that? He could already see guns drawn at him before he knew what was happening if he did that.

"Trudy, I am busy, knee-deep in this and want to get it solved. We both know how serious the situation is. Can you please take a message, and tell them I'll call when I get a minute?" Trudy glances at her notepad, before returning her eyes back to the man that sat across from her on the bench. She could imagine the look of shock on Hailey's face in reading a note later on that Alex had been there. That may get her in trouble for not allowing her to see the boyfriend sooner.

"I don't think this person will be very accepting of leaving a simple message...." Alex twitched a little in the formation of the comment, wondering the direction that Trudy was taking right now. It was obvious that Hailey had not been accepting of Trudy's first offer based on a message suggestion. "I could bring him up to see you if you like. He would have permission to go upstairs."

"Please don't tell me he's the FBI Agent. I told him that it was a great experience, but I did not repeat that again. I am not doing another round on the task force. He will have to find someone else." Trudy almost wanted to laugh at Hailey's response in not having a single idea as who was only meters from her right now. This was probably more fun than it should be for her right now.

"He has not come back so I think you made it pretty clear you would not return to the FBI. Besides, we both know that Intelligence is your home and where you belong more than anywhere else." Alex glances down, the conversation from the past couple of weeks flooding through his thoughts. Hailey had talked about how Intelligence was her family, how close everyone was together, how it was the first place she truly felt she belonged. It was obviously not fluff in Trudy understanding that, and it made him begin to wonder if they'd ever transition from doing the long-distance relationship to being together constantly. She was searching up possible job opportunities in North Carolina. It had to mean something, right? "This is someone that does not work for the government, or any agency for that matter."

"Can you please stop wasting my tim-"

"What if I told you that he was about six foot tall, thin build, black hair with blue eyes?" Alex glances down at himself in running those details over in his mind. Perhaps Trudy knew what was she doing in playing a role in the surprise. In everything she had told Hailey, she had shared someone was there to see her to try to get her to appear - but did not share his name or detail to give it easily away. "What if I told you that he should have a couple speeding tick-"

"I don't have time to play Guess Who." Trudy was about to give it up, say the details and be done. Part of her also just wanted to hang up the phone and make Alex sit there until one of the Intelligence members came down. It could be the perfect fun torture for both of them to suffer through. It would be a good test for him to see if he was strong enough to put up with her crap. "Wait, did you say couple of speeding tickets?"

"Out of all the details I shared, that is what you remem-"

"Is Alex Bowman downstairs right now?!?" Trudy smiles as she looks back towards where Alex sat on the bench, seeing the nerves written all over him with the left leg constantly tapping.

"I suggest you get down here quickly. It seems I may have given him a bit of a panic attack. He seems very nervous about what we are talking about. He is probably scared you are not going to come see him and leave him hanging."
