Azeas still hadn't shown up by the time dinner ended.

"I guess I just have to wait." Hazel sighed. "Good thing I have you two, I normally just keep myself company when he's busy. Or I try to hang out with other kids, but they aren't the nicest."

"Makes sense." Ren smiled. "I like sitting alone sometimes, it's nice to just be with my thoughts from time to time."

"I'm always there though." Koji grinned. "Can't get rid of me!"

"As long as you study and be quiet, I put up with you." Ren grinned back. "But I know that's really hard for you."

Hazel and Ren walked back to their dorm, waving goodbye to Koji. Hazel glanced around a few times, hoping to catch Azeas in the crowds, but she ended up just ignoring her surroundings, talking to Ren instead.

"Why did you talk to me anyway, and let me join your little group?" Hazel asked, slipping into her night dress once they reached their dorm. No one was there yet, most likely enjoying the warm night. Hazel had heard some Kindre had predicted there was going to be a cold snap in temperature sometime soon, which was hopefully the last one of the year, as the height of spring approached.

"You seem interesting." Ren shrugged. "I'm fascinated with your lack of Majyk, but you also seem really sweet."

"Azeas says it just hasn't matured yet." Hazel said. "Majyk is almost like puberty, you have to hit a certain stage to get it, but it could come really late for some reason."

"That's true." Ren frowned. "Majyk has to fully mature by the age of 25 though, studies show Majyk doesn't fluctuate at all after that age."

"Guess I just have to wait until I'm 25 before losing hope then." Hazel smiled. "Luckily it's going to be on Rebirth day."

"Not necessarily, since everyone here at the children's home celebrates our birthday on the first day of the year, you most likely will turn 15 later." Ren opened a small book. "I've been researching the Majyk at the children's home, and I've found some interesting things."

Ren opened it up and handed it off to Hazel, her eyes full of excitement. The book was filled with neat handwriting, detailing almost everything about the children's home.

Name: The Phoenix Children's Home, established 11,000 AE (After Ethriti).

Named due to The False King War (10,981 - 11,000 AE). Name connects to Fire Majyk and rebirth from the war.

Current Headmaster: Kelusis Ambrants, direct descendant of the establishing Headmaster of Phoenix Children's Home.

Phoenix Children's Home seems to exhibit abnormal amounts of gifted Majyk users, giving it a prestigious reputation and leading to its direct communication with SilverKeep's education and military system, who takes students with promise and trains them into their army ranks, or gives them expansive education.

"I didn't know that." Hazel muttered, looking to Ren, who couldn't help but have a small smirk on her face.

"I overheard some conversations Mr Ambrants was having with a high ranking Kindre. I also was able to analyse my class and figure out the most gifted students were likely to be adopted via SilverKeep's Majyk system other than parents." Ren smiled. "My only question is how The Phoenix Children's Home is able to have such a high amount of gifted children, with very rare duds."

"Like me." Hazel made a face.

"I theorise Mr Ambrants has a strong Majyk sensor." Ren whispered, noticing as a girl stepped into the room, her eyes narrowing at the two, who sat on Hazel's bed, right by each other.
