40. Stuck with me.

"Kyra wait.." I whisper. "....now" I say and we jump out and yell "AHHH" making Katie and Caitlin jump and scream.

"Hahah omg we got them good." I say laughing.

"Ya we did." Kyra says and we high five.

"You two." Katie says and looks at us. Kyra and I run and Caitlin and Katie chases after us. Kyra and I run into a room and lock the door we start laughing as the girls pound on the door.

"Oi what did you two do this time?" Steph asks from behind us scaring us.

"Holy shit!" Me and Kyra yell as we see we went into the lockeroom.

"Us? we did nothing." Kyra says and I nod.

"Liars." Viv says.

Kyra and I both play hurt and I say  "We are angels. Right ky?" I look at Kyra and she nods.

Alessia gives me a look but just laughs.

"Ya." Kyra says and I wrap my arm around her and we get ready to leave to villa.

*time skip*

Today we're traveling to villa it's about 2-3 hour drive. I'm sitting next to Alessia with Viv and vic across from us. We've just been talking the first hour of the bus ride and it's been great. I can't believe how much my life has changed in a year it's crazy honestly.

"I'm glad the game is later in the day tomorrow." Vic says.

"Same I hate the early games." I say and laugh a bit until my phone starts buzzing. My manager is calling.

"Sorry I gotta take this." I say and show Alessia my phone. She just gives me a thumbs up. I stay seated at our table the girls just quiet down.

"Hey." My manager says.

"Hey, what's up? Everything okay?" I ask.

The girls look up when I say that.

"Well as you know your contract ends at the end of the season since you only signed a one year." He explains.

"Yes I know that." I say.

"Well there are other clubs that want you. Arsenal still want you and they want to keep you for as long as you want but these other clubs are willing to pay a lot more." He says.

"I don't care about the other clubs Matt. No amount of money can replace this. I've found my home here." I say and whisper the last part and smile while looking at Alessia.

"Don't leave!!" Kyra yells and I hear steph tell Kyra to be quiet. The girls start talking. I think there confused.

"Are you sure mate? I mean it's a lot of money." Matt says.

"I am." I say.

"How long do you want to be there for?" He asks.

"Less how long is left on your contract? I forgot." I whisper.

"Two more season but they're willing to talk at some point." Alessia whispers back. I nod. We've talked about this a few days ago but I just forgot. Oops. I get up a walk to the back of the bus. I hear the girls groan.

"Tell them I'd like to be here for another 2 seasons and we can talk if anything changes." I explain.

"Ok sounds great. I'll let them know and we'll go from there." He says and we say our goodbyes.

I hang up and walk back to my spot I give Alessia a thumbs up and she gives me a big smile. As I'm about to sit down Kyra runs over and crushes me in a hug and says "please don't leave."

I laugh and say "calm down. I'm not going anywhere. You guys are stuck with me for a bit longer as long as all goes to plan. I should know for sure soon." When I finish the girls start cheering. Kyra hugs me tighter.

"Thank god!" Katie yells.

"We get to keep the two goats on our team. Hell yeah."

Viv and I both just shy away. I sit down and Alessia gives me a hug and says "I love you so much."

"I love you too princess." I whisper back and give her a quick kiss.

"So you had bigger offers from other clubs?" Caitlin asks caustically.

"Ya I did but they can't give me what arsenal can. So I didn't bother to even talk to them." I explain.

"Arsenal pay you more than other clubs would?" Katie says surprised.

"No definitely not but arsenal has given me the love of my life and a family. Those other clubs can't and won't." I say. Alessia gives me a kiss on the cheek and the girls cooing. Gross. Kidding kidding.

"Aww you love us." Kyra teases and sits on my lap.

"I do love you guys and Kyra this spot is reserved." I say laughing.

"I wanna sit by you though." Kyra whines and stands up. The girls laugh at our conversation.

"Hold on." I say to Kyra and she tilts her head a bit.

"Lessi do you wanna sit on my lap Kyra wants to sit by us?" I ask. Alessia gives me a big smile and nods. Alessia stand up and I slip under her and she sits down cuddling into me.

"There you go ky." I say and pat the seat I was just on.

"Yay." She says like a child making the girls giggle.

"Do you guys wanna play a game? I'm bored." Beth says. The girls agree and we decide to play  a question game. I've thankfully gotten passed by a few times but it seems my luck runs out when Katie asks "izzi what your favorite thing about football?"

"It use to be that I could clear my mind and I still do that but my favorite thing about football now is playing with you lot." I say.

"Aww you love us" Caitlin says I just nod and shrug.

"Izzi why-" someone starts to say but I say "no uh one question at a time." The girls groan but continue the game and it gets back to me.

"Okay what I was going to ask and what some of us are wondering is why don't you play for England anymore. I uh mean you don't have to answer though ?" Steph asks.

"You played for England?" Someone yelled I laugh.

"Yes I played for England on the senior team from the time I signed my first professional contract with man city till I got hurt about 3 years ago. So I haven't played with anyone from the team now expect Lucy and the girls from this team and man city. I have some caps but when I got hurt and had to take a year off..." I say and pause a bit Alessia just squeezes my hand giving me the reassurance I needed.

"When I got injured I closed off from everyone. Except for Lotte she helped me get back to where I needed to be and helped me out of a hole. Once my injury healed I started working out like I do now and taking things more seriously and that's when my career really took off. I've gotten called up to the team but I didn't feel like I deserved the spot so I kept turning it down but Alessia and I have been talking and I think I'm gonna come back but I don't know." I explain.

"That would be awesome!" Beth yells.

"I've been telling her this since she's healed but she always says she's not good enough." Lotte say and I give her a look but laugh.

"Mate you're like the best player in the world." Katie says.  The girls all nod their heads and agree. Even Alessia.

"I'm not but thank you. I'll think about it. But I'm not sure the other girls might not like me. Plus who knows Sarina may not try to call me up again." I say.

"She will she's asked me so many times to try and get you to come back." Leah says.

"And the girls would love to have you. I've told you this before." Alessia says.

"Okay we'll call ups are happening this next week right? So I'll think about it. Let's just focus on beating some villa ass tomorrow." I say. The girls say a few things but agree and we just continue with some games until we get to our hotel.
