My eyelids fluttered open but stayed squinted against the rays of sunlight hitting my face. I squeeze whatever my hands are holding as I pull it closer to my face. After a few seconds, I hear what sounds like someone clearing their throat. So I force my eyes to stay open against their will and look up to see Luke's face. My hands were clenched onto his shirt and he look at me with a crooked grin, his hair a blonde mess.

"Sorry." I quickly let go and sat up, but the fast movements cause a pain in my head and I instantly placed my hand to my forehead.

"It's no problem. We were like that for a while." When I put my hand back down and opened my eyes once again, I turned to look at the now lit room. Michael was still on the blow up bed, blanket over his body excluding his head and feet.

"How long did I sleep?" I asked, turning to face Luke again. He had what looked like a game controller in his hand as he looked at the television.

"Well I don't remember what time we fell asleep but it's about ten in the morning now, which is pretty early for me." He looked back at me and sighed. "How was your first night actually sleeping?"

"It was quite alright. Very warm." I smiled and Luke giggled in response.

"Yeah, the air conditioning doesn't work well in my room and I'm not used to having another body in my bed."

"Sorry again. I really don't know what else to do or where I'm supposed to go now. I didn't really ask for this." I looked down at my hands and took a deep breath, my long brown hair falling around my face. A hand slipped through a slit in my hair and pulled it back behind my ear as I looked up at Luke.

"Hey, this is why I'm gonna help you okay? You can stay here as long as you need, I'll make something up to my mum. But as of right now, you need clothes and I have to go to Zoe's. She had an older sister who went to college out of state so maybe she left some of her clothes in the attic. We've got everything under control. Alright?" His blue eyes peered into mine and I replied with a small okay.

"How do you get to Zoe's?" The thought popped into my head when he mentioned his mum and I assumed she was busy doing what mums do.

"Well when my mum works, I take my bike. I have a shit ton from my older brothers and the guys usually leave theirs here too. I'm pretty sure I can find one for you." I scrunched my face up at the thought of riding a bike. I'm pretty sure I had never rode one before and I wasn't sure if Luke had the patience to teach me now.

"And Michael?" Luke shrugged, looking over my shoulder at the lump laying under the covers.

"He knows where my spare key is, he usually stays here alone until Calum or Ashton come by."

"Calum? Ashton?" Furrowing my eyebrows, I watching Luke get up and go back to the same dresser from last night.

"Two of our other mates. We're like the three musketeers, but with four people." He laughed at his own joke and I got up, following his foot steps.

"Do I put on the same clothes from yesterday?" I looked at the skirt and blouse in the corner of the room and sighed, really not wanting to wear them. Luke looked around uncomfortably and then back into his drawer.

"I mean, I think I can give you these basketball shorts and a band tee shirt? Just until we get to Zoe's house and then you can change in the attic." Thankful, I waited for him to hand me a piece of clothing. "Let me change so I can give you the shorts."

So Luke left the room with another outfit in hand as he changed and then came back, holding the gym shorts he had worn to bed. He handed them over but honestly, his outfit hadn't changed much. Luke had on another plain black shirt with another pair of tight jeans.
