The rest of the time spent at Ashton's house consisted of more music, video games, and a movie. By the time the movie ended, and the pizza, my new favourite food, they ordered was gone, Ashton drove us to Lola's house.

"I left my bike there." Luke had said to him and Ashton just nodded in response. Calum had taken his own car along with Michael, that boy really hated being home.

So we bid our farewells to Ash and picked up the bike from in front of Lola's house.

"I can't wait to go home and shower." Luke said with a small laugh following afterwards. I tilted my head and watched him.

"Shower?" Luke was picking up the bike by the handles and turned, I could see the red in his cheeks with the help of the street light.

"Yeah, you take a shower. That thing in the bathroom next to the toilet? You wash your body." He gulped, not realizing that I would need to shower as well. But his face lit up as he dropped the bike. "I have an idea. Stay here."

So he ran up the stops and knocked on the door, Lola answering with a confused face.

"Luke, it's Zoe's bed time." I could hear her say but Luke shook his head.

"I left something in the attic." Was his answer and soon enough, I was left in the dark outside.

It was pretty eerie to say the least. Cars drove by once in a while and I heard noises from near by bushes. The moon was bright, illuminating the suburb, but no stars thanks to all the lighting in this community, Literally every couple feet, there would be a street light shining down brightly on the sidewalk and street.

A little after being captured by nature's beauty, Luke stepped back out with something on his back. He smiled shyly at me and I grinned in response.

"You weren't too scared without me, were you?" I shook my head no and he picked up the bike once again. He patted the seat in between the handle bars, signaling me to sit back on them. As he pedaled down the sidewalk, Luke spoke. "I got some clothes for you that should last about a week. We'll go back to get more. If anything, I have more shirts and basketball shorts you can borrow in the mean time."

"What about your mum?" It was obvious to me now that girls hanging out with boys weren't a given. And that his parents would be outraged if they knew I was staying at their house, especially without their permission.

"Well thanks to Michael's imaginary story back at Ashton's, I was able to call her and convince her to let you stay for a while. There's a guest room, it used to be my brothers' before they both moved out. You can stay." I nodded my head as we pulled up to the house, a car parked outside. Luke abandoned the bike by the wooden gate and gave me the bag.

"Well hello hello!" Luke's mum, Liz, greeted us at the front door with a smile. "How're my babies doing?"

"Good." Luke answered, planting a small kiss on her cheek. I did the same, adding a thank you and giving a hug instead.

"Your father was invited to a dinner with his boss in just an hour, are you up to going?" Luke shook his head respectively when she finished talking.

"I'm not feeling too well. Could you just bring us back something?" Liz put a hand on his cheek and smiled.

"Of couse love. Be sure to sleep early, we have that fund raiser tomorrow morning at the carnival."

"No problem, hear you loud and clear." She smiled brightly at her young boy before going into the living room. Luke took my hand and led me upstairs, back into his room.
