(((MOONPAW'S POV)))
Moonpaw couldn't believe her luck.
Flowerpaw had come back to ThunderClan!
She was sure Icepool and Squirrelflight and Shadepaw would come back soon too, and Stemleaf and Lionblaze would be back too soon.
Everything was working out perfectly.
Soon, my life will be back to normal!
(((FLOWERPAW'S POV)))
Flowerpaw stretched and padded outside of the apprentice's den, yawning.
Outside, Moonpaw was sorting herbs (well, mostly arguing with Jayfeather), Bristlefrost was organizing patrols, and Flamepaw was carrying a stick with moss that smelled foully of mouse-bile.
Flowerpaw sat thoughtfully underneath the shade of a hanging fern and watched Bramblestar through narrowed eyes, her gaze thoughtful.
Her meeting was soon, but nothing had happened so far.
This is useless.
Flowerpaw tilted her head.
Bramblestar hasn't done anything, although he wouldn't trust me anyway.
Flowerpaw sat up.
Trust. I need him to trust me.
Bramblestar was currently watching Bristlefrost with a pleased expression.
So I need to act like Bristlefrost? No, that can't be it.
"Flowerpaw," Bramblestar meowed, flicking his tail for Flowerpaw to come over.
His gaze seemed friendly, not at all dangerous.
Flowerpaw padded towards him hesitantly, trying to remain cautious as she sat down a few tail-lengths away from him.
If he was going to do the same thing as Icepool, surely it wouldn't be open in the clearing, anyways?
"I'm glad you came back to ThunderClan," Bramblestar dipped his head.
Flowerpaw nodded politely, using all of her self-control not to slash his face off.
"The more cats I can trust, the better," Bramblestar added.
Wait, what? He trusts me already? But I didn't do anything!
"I-I t-thank you." Flowerpaw mumbled.
Bramblestar blinked warmly. "Of course."
Flowerpaw fought the urge to laugh aloud and attack Bramblestar at the same time.
If he thinks I'm stupid enough to fall for flattery, his brain is even smaller than I thought.
"I'm sure you were very hurt after the fox attack." Bramblestar meowed understandingly.
Flowerpaw's brain froze. She couldn't move. Pictures of the fox flashed in her head.
Stop, stop, stop, not now!
Flowerpaw forced her breathing to return to normal and meet the gaze of Bramblestar, although her mouth was too dry to speak.
Something flashed in Bramblestar's venomous amber eyes, but vanished quickly once Flowerpaw looked back up.
"But I am sure you'll be proud to know that scars do not make up a cat, and I trust and support you."
You manipulative piece of fox dunged mouse brained- "I am grateful to all of ThunderClan." Flowerpaw murmured.
Bramblestar nodded and padded back into the leaders den.
Flowerpaw scraped the ground viciously, imagining it was Bramblestar's face.
His stupid words raced through her head, echoing in her ears.
When Bramblestar dies, I will be the one to kill him.
