Summertime was a popular favorite season among hot-blooded wolves, begging for festivities and exploring new limits. As tradition imposed, the beginning of summer was a holy day to initiate the party season. It was a hot night; the dark blue sky was dusted with millions of stars and a large shiny moon illuminated the woods. The blue crescent pack was celebrating the beginning of summer with a big bonfire that only added to the irritating heat of the season and where all the packs got together. The Kim pack was among them; although their head alpha barely accepted to attend, for the sole reason that one of his betas was pregnant, and she was almost due to give birth. The Kim pack was composed of two male alphas, one female alpha, two betas, and one omega.

The party was almost over when Aila, the pregnant wolf, felt some pain in her lower stomach, she immediately reached out to her alpha while clutching onto her lower belly and letting him know of her discomfort, her brows furrowed, her nose scrunched and her lips pursed together. The whole Kim pack rushed to their cave where they had already set up a place where she would give birth. Her beta companion stayed with her as another healer from the crescent pack came through to help with the painful yet rewarding bearing. Long hours passed, it seemed like it was an eternity of screams and pain, and the three alphas were on edge while walking around the mouth of the cave.

It was almost dusk when the screaming finally stopped, and small crying was heard instead. The alphas rushed in, only to find everyone inside scared and confused. The head alpha reached to lift the baby in his arms, but the new mother held onto her baby fiercely with tears in her eyes.

"What happened, why won't you let me hold my firstborn?" Soowong, the head alpha asked.

"Promise you won't hurt her and that you will protect her, or else I'm not letting anyone approach her, promise!" Aila responded.

Soowong growled harshly making the omega in the room whine and hide in the female alpha's side, a disapproving frown on his face. Soowong then grabbed the baby violently from the mother's embrace, making her yell out in hurt and sadness. Aila was too tired to move her limbs but still fought the burn in her muscles and tried reaching out for her pup. The moment the alpha uncovered the baby, he understood what the whole commotion was about, his growls got louder and his teeth gritted together, there was a side of him still in shock, unwilling to believe the miracle in front of his eyes. It was a baby girl and the symbol on her chest wasn't an alpha red moon as he had hoped, instead, she was born with a full pink moon on her chest.

"You gave birth to a whore? And you want me to just accept her as my own?" He asked with disdain clear in his voice.

"She isn't a whore, she will be good, she will be raised as a beta please, and we will hide her mark and protect her and teach her how to fight. Don't kill her, please." She begged him, tears running down her cheeks.

"It isn't natural... She will be raised as an omega, but the moment I see a deviancy, I will get rid of her myself, understood?" He asked waiting for an answer; the beta nodded her head quickly. "She will be veiled; no one is to see a glimpse of her face, nor her body. She will be mute, not speaking with anyone outside of our pack. The moment she turns sixteen, I will find her a pack willing to take care of her and take her as a mate." He added with a demanding voice, laying down all of his conditions.

For four years, the little girl survived under the protection of her mother and the control of her father, she was doted on by the whole Kim pack although no one outside of her family knew of her existence. That was until Aila sadly and tragically died from an unknown illness, leaving behind her only child, four-year-old Amala. Naturally, a lot of wolves from the neighboring packs dropped by the Kim pack to pay their respects. However, they also came to know the curious existence of the small veiled omega, which had raised a lot of questions among them. Soowong decided right then and there that Amala would be too much trouble. Thus, he was determined to end her life by the end of the funeral. Luckily, but not so much for Amala; the omega and the remaining beta of the pack had gotten attached to her, so they decided to help her run away.
